I was pleased with all the streaming features that came along with this unit. Every now and then, I will get an error message stating "Content no longer Available". I have unplug (reboot) the system and then the content becomes available again. I'm not sure if it's this unit or something with the internet connection. The unit itself is very small and light. The only problem with that is, when I go to press the button to open the disc tray the unit wants to move around it's so light, so I have to hold the top with my other hand. Also the blue light that shows the unit is on is extremely small and sometimes it's difficult to tell if it's on, it could have been made larger.

Purchased yesterday as a replacement for my old player that just quit working. All I needed it to do was have an HDMI connection to my TV and an Ethernet connection for Internet access/firmware updates. This inexpensive box does both. It also has some apps built in that are interesting. The live web cams for various locations around the world are fun to view, and Tubi has some great old TV shows from my youth. The remote was easy to set-up and sync to my TV as well. It's all working fine, and I'm happy.

I NEEDED A NEW BLU-RAY PLAYER AND I WANTED ANOTHER SONY. I READ SOME REVIEWS AND BOUGHT THIS MODEL BECAUSE IT HAD THE BEST REVIEWS. I HAVE PLENTY OF BLU-RAY MOVIES AND THIS PLAYS THEM WITH REFERENCE QUALITY! THE PICTURE AND SOUND ARE AMAZING! I EVEN TRIED A DVD THAT SKIPPED BUT IT PLAYED WITH NO PROBLEM. THE DVDS LOOK AMAZING ALSO. I EVEN PLAYED MUSIC CDS AND THEY SOUND GREAT! I"M VERY SATISFIED WITH THIS SONY BLU-RAY PLAYER.

When I purchased this product, I expected all required parts or accessories needed to get it up and running to be included. I found this not to be so. The HDM1 cable necessary to make TV and player connection was not included and had to be purchased separately. This was an unnecessary hassle and an unexpected extra expense. Also, remote is too small and lettering almost unreadable.

I would have given it 5 stars, but the original purchased 3/2019 quit working. I filled out the online claim form and received my new or refurbished (?) within 2 weeks. The replacement has been working wonderfully! Thank you. Oh yes, do I need to enter the new serial number on the registration or is it covered under the old product?

I just bought these two Blue-ray players from two different outlets. The Model S-1700 is nice, compact and very easy to plug and play and does a great job upgrading all DVD and BD however it does not have built in Wi-Fi which I really needed here. The model BDP S-6700 is terrific in all functions including a very good Wi-Fi connection. The un-needed model S-1700 will be gifted to a friend and I am very happy overall with all of my Sony TV and peripherals. I think the prices of these two BD Players were very convenient for me too.

I'm not techie by any means, so buying a DVD player these days is confusing to say the least. I read reviews, get confused and tend to buy the one that doesn't cost an arm and a leg and has an overall good rating. This Sony player did not disappoint. It was very easy to set up, and figure out how to use. I've used both Bluray and DVDs in it and the movies have played beautifully. In my opinion it's a great buy and great product!

I am so glad that I bought this Sony Blu Ray player. I have watched about 10 movies since I bought it and it showed them all beautifully with no problems. i have another Sony DVD player that I bought about 15 years ago and is still working fine. i would never buy any other brand. Keep it up Sony.

This is the third Sony Blueray player I have bought. The first one the disk drive wouldn't open. The second one it stopped recognizing the usb and the disk drive wouldn't open again. I like Sony overall so I am giving it a third shot. Fingers crossed
