I love the compact size as we are using it in our motorhome and space can be an issue. The ability to stream via our internet connection gives us the ability to use our Netflix account on the road. I own several Sony products and have to say I am very pleased with all of them.

Not only does it play DVD and blue ray disks, you can also watch Netflix, Hulu and other streaming services if you don't have a smart TV. It was easy to set up and the remote was easy to use as well. The picture is beautiful and the machine itself works exactly as described we haven't had a single issue with it.

It's compact so it fit right in the little space I needed it to fit. Really easy set up! I have so many older DVD's, So watching them on this it's like watching them brand new. The features on the player is what sets it off from some others that I have seen. It really is a great buy!

The setup consisted of a few minutes of following simple prompts to set the language and to skip setting up the internet connection. I'm using this just as a blu-ray/dvd player and not taking advantage of any streaming features, but it is nice to know they're there if I ever want to use them. I love that this has no clock and that the front panel only has a power and an eject button. Beautiful simplicity. Sure, it makes life a little more traumatic if you lose the remote, but that is what universal remotes are for. The remote control follows a design Sony has been using for a decade or more and it is also quite simple, which is exactly what I was after. If you just want a blu-ray/dvd player without all the frills and buttons and settings and gizmos... this is a pretty great unit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've put this in our camper so that when it is rainy outside we can sit inside and watch a movie. Love that it is Full HD and plays all my movies. Very great graphics and colors! Dolby sound which delivers crisp sounds. The player that was in my camper only was a dvd player and this one is a blue ray! Perfect size to fit into the cabinet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was long past time to upgrade my old DVD player to get the quality picture from new Blue-ray discs. I've always had good results from Sony quality in the past and the price point of this unit made it a simple decision to stick with Sony. We purchased a second unit for our beach rental property so that we could also access Netflix on an older flat screen TV that did not have it built-in like this Sony Player does. We are still able to watch our library of DVD's in addition to new Blue-ray discs and Netflix since we connected it to our router. The picture quality is worth every penny and the simple to use remote is intuitive and easy to navigate. My wife put together a slide show of family photos on a USB drive and showed it on the big screen through this Sony player. It was the hit of a recent party we hosted. We are so happy with this player we ordered a couple more as Christmas gifts for family members. Thanks Sony for putting all this capability into an affordable package.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great blu-ray player of all you want is it for movie playing features. The picture is great, it is very easy to setup, load time was very quick and it is very responsive to the remote with no lag time. If you want it for the smart features (Netflix, Hulu, etc) be advised that it requires to be wired directly to your router. It does not have WiFi capabilities, which I unfortunately overlooked when I got it, so make sure it will be used close to your router in order to wire it. The TV I am using this blu-ray player on is upstairs while my router is downstairs, so unfortunately I am not able to use these features so I cannot comment on them. Excellent blu-ray player but disappointing that it does not have WiFi capabilities.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not only does this awesome piece of equipment make your Blue RayDiscs easy to watch,it does it in sharp definition..you can upgrade your DVDs to HD quality, and besides all this, you can stream your favorite shows and movies with a wired ethernet cable should you decide to do that, just pick up a cable. The Sony Ble Ray Disc player has all the sleekness and quality Sony is famous for!

The player is compact, and packs all the right features for my needs. I use it for outdoor movie nights, both Blu-Ray discs and streaming. I like the offline ability mostly, so I can be portable with movie nights - its just wonderful!
