Our family has a out of state camp that has internet service, but the wireless service signal isn't very strong. The fact that this is HARD WIRED into my cable box allows me to not only have a blue-ray/DVD player but now I can get Netflix as well. I also like that is is small and doesn't take up a lot of space.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This will play your blue ray disks and stream Netflix, you tube, etc. It requires an hdmi cable but does not come with one. The set up was easy and will connect to your internet fairly easily, wired or wireless. The blue ray play seems simple and smooth. Only one small green light when on, no distracting display and has a very small footprint.

We love that it's "wired" with the internet so we can also use streaming services as well! Definitely recommend!

Now I have been able to declutter all the other separate ones I had. Love that I can stream from this player directly. Great Sony quality I've come to expect! Easy to install and use and good quality picture.

It also gives my TV an added boost to it's antenna, so all my shoes come in better. I also like how you can get tube and Netflix to stream through it.

This is a reliable device from a trusted brand, and comes with extra features that go beyond a basic disk player. Since I have a gaming console for my main tv, I have set this blue-ray player up in my bedroom with a tv that was cheap and therefore has no special features. This blue-ray player allows me to play any DVD that I want for entertainment in my bedroom and as a bonus, gives me access to apps like Netflix and YouTube. This really makes the product stand out and increases its value by a lot. I am thrilled that I now have access to whatever shows and movies I want in my room. Something to be aware of is that the blue-ray player requires and Ethernet connection for internet use. This seems pretty inconvenient to me, but luckily I had a port near the tv in my room. Overall I think this is a great device that is made better with its added features. I also love the remote, it's on the bigger side with lots of buttons which I think is just really fun, especially compared to the newer minimal button remotes for smart TVs. I would recommend this product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We needed another DVD/Blu Ray player for a new TV in our house and this Sony player definitely works in that respect.  The video quality is good and there are no complaints from me in serving its purpose as a Blu Ray player.  It is also very small and sleek, which is great.  However, the accessories included in the box are pretty disappointing.  You need to supply your own HDMI cable.  We had to search around our house for an extra one to set up the player.  They are pretty cheap, so it would be nice if Sony just included it so I did not need to go looking all over for one.  Also, while this player can support Netflix and other apps, beware that it is not wireless.  You need an internet cable and that cable is also not included.  I really did not seek the player out for the purpose of streaming apps, but it is always nice to have a backup if a streaming device goes down, and the wired connection would not even work for us.  Our internet setup is nowhere near where we are using this DVD player.  Given how inexpensive some of the wireless streaming devices that I have purchased have been, I am surprised that technology is not standard for  a name like Sony.  On the plus side, there are batteries for the remote included.  Overall, good as a DVD/Blu Ray player but a little disappointing with the secondary features.

This is one of the best Blu-ray DVD players that I've ever had it also connect to Netflix and YouTube which makes it 10 times better. I believe I'm going to get another one for my living room area.

The quality is pretty great and the kids enjoy watching there favorite shows on Netflix or YouTube. I love that it can stream several different apps or services that everyone can enjoy. The DVD player is easy to set up and use and can put any dvd or blu ray disc in. Comes with a remote and easy to operate. You do need a internet cable connected for WiFi to get your streaming options. Definitely handy to have in any room, great quality and the picture is pretty great!
