It also has internet capabilities that allow me to use Youtube and other apps. It's a nice size and isn't too big, it's sleek and looks very nice on my entertainment center without taking up too much space.

It comes with a remote and even includes the batteries. You connect it to your TV using a HDMI Cable. It also comes with the AC adapter. Once it's all connected and you turn on the player, wait for a short while and the player turns on and starts. Playable discs are Blu-Ray Disc, DVD, and CDs. Various settings and playback operations are available by pressing options on the remote. The Sony Blu-Ray Disc player comes with a one year limited warranty once you register it. You're able to play a disc, play from a USB Device, or via a network. Playable types of files for this Sony Blu-Ray Disc Player are MPEG-1 and MPEG -2 Video, Xvid, MPEG4/AVC, VC1, WMV9 andMotion JPEG. Power requirements are 12 V DC with AC adaptor. Rating: Input 120 V, AC 60 Hz. I highly recommend this Sony Blu-Ray Disc player!

She can watch Netflix through it, without the TV being a smart TV. Very easy to hook up and use. Love Sony electronics.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are a lot of great features with this DVD player. I like how compact it is and that you can play regular DVDs and Blu-ray Discs. I also really like that it comes with a small remote. I've had DVD players before that did not come with a remote, believe it or not. It is also compatible to stream your subscription streaming services. However, one major con for me is that it is not wireless. You just hard wire to your Ethernet cable to use the streaming channels feature. If you have your Ethernet near your TV you plan to use this with, it shouldn't be an issue, but mine is not conveniently located. The set up also took a little longer than I had anticipated, but was not a huge delay. Just didn't think it would have taken as long as it did. Overall, it gets the job done for a DVD player.

I love being able to navigate through Netflix, and switching over to a Blu-ray when my kids are ready to watch their film. It's slim enough to fit under our television and most of all the player is quiet! Overall I'd highly recommend this Sony Blu-ray player!

Overall, this player is responsive and easy to use. It handles Blu-rays very well. The upsampling from standard definition to high-def is only fair though. But that is to be expected at this price point. The internet connection is wired, but can add many more streaming apps if you don't have a smart TV which is nice. This is very good starter Blu-ray player.

Very easy to use, durable, and the picture quality is great. My favorite part is that I can steam on it as well. One of my other favorite things about it is that my 7yr old can work it too.

Compact and fits easily into smaller spaces. Sound and quality is outstanding. I did have too purchase HDMI cord but not a concern. Overall extremely pleased. Another quality product from Sony.
