My first one, bought in April 2016, died while on warranty. The second one, sent by you a couple of weeks ago, is erratic (i.e., will announce "no disc" while the disc is inside, will require unplugging and replugging, etc)

This is adequate...Just...Has a problem with home made DVD's...Burned on Macs...Should have known...The two companies can't play nice together...Once inserted...It shows as "no disc"...Drawer won't open...Finally unplugged the power supply multiple times till it did...I'd return it but it was a gift...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed a new DVD player so I went with a trusted brand. I upgraded to a Blue Ray and got the Sony - Blu-ray Disc™ Player. Not only can I finally get blue ray DVDs and watch movies with more definition but I can also plug in my USB into the port to show photos, listen to music, and play multimedia on my tv. I love that it doesn't take long to load the dvd, it's not bulky, and it has the energy star logo.

Bought this a month ago and just love it. I love the fact it is compact, fits under my TV perfect. The features are great and I love the remote! I love the fact that there isn't a lot of wires! AND . . . the price was awesome for me being on Social Security!

It had full HD picture quality and works perfectly with my Netflix! This has the ability to connect with the HDMI cable, it has the USB input and a Coaxial for output. With this player, you will want the Wired Ethernet connection with the Connexion Ethernet cable. I would love to see this product as a wireless setup. But it is awesome to watch movies and even stream from your Netflix. The remote control has Netflix on it and you can even watch youtube just by using the remote control. I would recommend trying this Blu-Ray/DVD Player for your next movie night.

Bought this product a month ago. Very easy to set up. The instructions were easy to understand even for an old dude like me. You can't beat a Sony product. My first stereo was a Sony bought in 1971. Still works and I can still play my classic vinyl. My Blu Ray was bought at Best Buy.

There are no external buttons on the machine to push in order to operate without the remote. We had the machine for a month when the batteries stop working. Make sure you have plenty of batteries and don't lose the remote. Without a working remote, the machine is worthless.

Just bought this model. Can't get it to recognize that it should connect to WiFi. Network status is locked in "wired". Also, it does not remember where DVD program left off when stop button is accidentally hit instead of pause. Starts from the beginning of the disc. Very annoying. Stop and Pause buttons are next to each other on this tiny remote. Not a good design of either the remote or the operation. Not up to my expectations for a Sony product.
