The directions were very clear and assembly was much easier than I had anticipated! I'm very petite, and sometimes have trouble with larger travel systems, but have been able to navigate this with no problem. The overall design is polished and easy to use. The basket is a great size and fits my diaper bag easier with room for much more. I love the adjustable nature of the infant car seat and all of the different strap heights available as my child continues to grow. The mechanism for tightening the straps once the baby is inside is the easiest I've used so far and makes me feel more secure that she's in there tightly! The stroller rides really smoothly and since the wheels look so durable I wasn't worried at all pushing over rocks and sand. The only thing that took a little getting used to was that the brakes are on the individual wheels, instead of across the axl. Perfect for a first time parent, a second stroller, or a family that only needs stroller space for 1. Much nicer than my first stroller, but doesn't have as many options as some of the pricy ones. For the money, this gives lots of ease and convenience. Many things are included (different from competitor strollers where you have to buy each piece separately- that adds up quickly). The child tray is perfect for snacks, drinks, toys- moves up to get an able child in and out- and quickly slips off if unwanted. The parent tray is very handy for phone, drinks, keys, etc. My favorite feature is the huge bottom basket that lets you store so much. Lots of space for diaper bag, snack bag, shopping bags, jackets, and much more. This stroller looks stylish and functional. You can set the infant car seat right into the stroller seat, OR you can remove the stroller seat and place the infant car seat right onto the stroller frame. Such flexibility! Theres multiple options with this stroller. Also, the seat can be used for toddlers. My 3 year old was tired of walking, so I placed my baby into her carrier and wore her- while my 3 year old enjoyed a comfortable ride in the stroller! We like the ample shade hood that protects from the wind, rain, sun- there's a little window that lets me see through to baby. The one handed fold was difficult, I honestly needed two hands to fold it. But, once folded, stroller did stand upright- making storage in the garage or SUV easier. The infant car seat is easy to install into the car. Using the LATCH system to attach the base into the car, the base will level to allow safe installation. Then, just drop the infant car seat into the base. It will click in, and you are good to go. A simple push of the button lets you remove the baby car seat with ease. Grandparent, babysitter, and dad safe- this is a no-brainer! I love that this infant bucket car seat can be used up to a weigh of 35 pounds- much higher than my last 2 infant buckets. Very helpful! I had one baby that was quite heavy, and exceeded the weight requirements of the competitor infant bucket- though he still needed that type of car seat. Also innovative is the shade of the car seat. It can be adjusted and rotates, truly allowing you to shade the baby in multiple directions and positions (handy in the car and if using in the stroller as well). One consideration- there are no shock absorbers- so this stroller may be better for in town, mall, paved park paths- may be tricky to take this off road or to more unpredictable surfaces. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a toddler and a 6 month old, and I really like this travel system for both ages, so I know I'll be using it for a LONG time. It's really easy to switch between the car seat setup and the full stroller setup, which is a plus for us because we switch back and forth a number of times a week depending on what we're doing and who gets to be the one strolling :) The blue was a really nice color and it feels high-end. I particularly like the car seat/stroller set up. My 6 month old is really long/tall, and he is super comfortable in the car seat. The canopy on the car seat is AWESOME because it has a number of settings that it clicks into, so it never starts retracting like our last car seat. We live in a particularly sunny area so the shade that the canopy provides is extra important to us. The stroller is a really smooth ride... so easy to use on walks to the farmers market or the post office, and the basket below is big enough to throw a bunch of stuff underneath. It also has the snack tray and the parent console included, which is really helpful since with other brands you have to buy those things separately. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With our first child, we had a Graco stroller system with car seat as well. I was given this travel system to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, which was perfect as our second child is seven months old (and small for her age). Our oldest 3.5 year old doesn't like strollers anymore, but he loved sitting in the toddler seat -- and at 33 pounds, he's within the fifty pound weight limit. The car seat was easy to install, though I find the instructions a bit more confusing than it needs to be. It was helpful to have the level on the base so you knew it was installed correctly for the child's age. The fabric cover doesn't open/close as smoothly as I'd hoped, and I find the car seat straps don't pull tight as smoothly either, which is why I give four stars instead of five. I don't like wrangling kids into car seats, so I wish the straps would pull smoother. However, the travel system is really convenient. I love that I could take the car seat and snap it into the toddler seat. Other stroller systems require you to remove the toddler seat first, which is a cumbersome step when you're dealing with babies. Folding and unfolding the stroller is easy -- my mother in law loves this stroller as it's super easy to use and lighter than other strollers. She won't use our other stroller as it's difficult to fold. We just keep the toddler seat in the stroller, fold it, and stand it up. We're in a small apartment so it's worth it to have a stroller that doesn't take up much space and stands on its own. My infant dislikes car seats, but enjoys riding in the car seat when it's in the stroller. She loves to ride in the toddler seat itself in the reclined infant seat position. My toddler actually loves this stroller -- when I have him alone, I take him for strollers and he actually sits in a stroller, which he hasn't done in more than a year. My favorite feature are the cup holders. The kids' cup holders leave room for drink and snacks, and the parent cup holder does as well, which helps on coffee runs with the kids. I've found that other stroller systems don't have great cup holders so this is a big deal for me. At this price point, the this travel system is a really good value that will make your life as a parent more convenient.

All aspects of the travel system (stroller base, stroller seat and car seat) seem to be well made and have a high end look (at a budget friendly price tag) thanks to the fabric and finishes of the metals/plastic. The car seat has a very soft but firm cushioned seat that makes me feel like my baby is both safe and comfortable. The car seat also easily attaches to the stroller base, allowing us to make a smooth transition in and out of the car for outings without waking the baby. What we love most about this stroller is the infant can use the stroller from day one. Not only is this a convenient feature for the baby (the baby can sit reclined or lay flat) but it's convenient for parents who also have a toddler. We don't have to change the seat for each kid. While babywearing the infant the toddler can use the stroller and when the toddler is off running around, the baby can sit or lay in the stroller! The seat can also be rear or forward facing. We aren't fans of the parent cup holders or seat tray (we'd prefer a telescopic handle for us and a bar for the kids), but they aren't that much of a disappointment that we wouldn't recommend the stroller. The storage basket is a good size for a diaper bag and small cooler. I also LOVE the size of the huge canopy. I wish the wheels were sturdier, as the ride is a bit bumpier than I'd like when we aren't on a smooth surface, but the maneuverability of the stroller is incredible. It could turn on a dime! My toddler lovessss going for a “ride” in the stroller, finding this particular stroller “fun”. Mom, dad, toddler and baby approved!

It folds easily and fits nicely in the trunk. A lifesaver for busy moms and dads on the go 🚗 So much room! The large basket underneath holds all my essentials, from diapers to snacks. Never have to worry about running out of space. 🎒 Overall, the Graco Modes Element Travel System is a must-have for any parent looking for safety, comfort, and convenience. 👌

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Graco I was given this travel system to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I love travel systems for their ease and convenience with an infant still using a carrier, and was excited to try this one because the stroller itself had desirable configurations for use beyond clicking in the carrier. The carrier was assembled out of the box, with very little to do but click and go. I opted to wash the insert because that's my usual practice, and I noticed a slight plasticy odor at first. The entire insert/cover was super easy to remove, had straightforward cleaning instructions, and went back on easily. It was intuitive to replace, so it was nice that I didn't need to look at several diagrams in order to do it properly. The base was easy to install with the LATCH system in our vehicle. The carrier itself is very lightweight and clicks in to both the base and stroller easily. It's clear when it's in correctly with the audible click. I liked that there are multiple height adjustments for the shoulder straps to allow for taller babies to still be comfortable. The canopy is generous and provides plenty of protection from the elements. I felt this infant carrier was more upright than our other - baby did not seem to sit back as far in this one, and the sides didn't come up as high. She enjoyed the extra visibility, but it did make me wonder if it provides as much protection - although all safety certifications indicate that it does. All in all, it seems to be a great carrier! Now onto the stroller. It came with a lot of bags and parts, which was overwhelming, but it ended up being surprisingly easy to assemble. I decided to try it out while both kids (baby and toddler) were awake, and I was able to get it together in under 30 minutes without breaking a sweat. The stroller is stylish and has a lot of great features. It's lightweight and has my must-have one handed fold feature. It is somewhat long when folded, but fit easily in the trunk of our small SUV. It has a very roomy under basket - it fit a backpack style diaper bag, structured baby carrier and some toys my toddler threw in for good measure. I love that in addition to accepting the carrier with no adapter required, the seat fully reclines and can easily be reconfigured to face both in and out. It handled turns well and provided a smooth ride that everyone enjoyed. The few cons to this stroller are small. It folds via a button/handle near the handlebar, but this ends up near the ground once folded, and there is no convenient handle at the top once the stroller is folded to carry/lift it. It comes with a parent organizer which is nice but small - it just barely fit my go-to reusable water bottles in the cup holders. The canopy is a bit flimsy, which I find is often the case for strollers that can be reconfigured and therefore don't have the canopy permanently attached. From what I can tell, this stroller cannot convert to a double, which would be another great addition to a really well-rounded travel system. Still, none of these are deal breakers for our family. I feel this travel system is a winner!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am reviewing this product as a first-time mom with a 7-month-old girl who is all about travel. We live in a rural neighborhood and primarily use our stroller for walks outside and some shopping or errand running in town. Prior to the Modes Element Travel System, I have used a competing brand with a jogging stroller. The stroller was easy to assemble and took less than 30 minutes! Compared to my jogging stroller it is SUPER lightweight and easy to fold, carry and stow. However, the best feature of this stroller is the ability to turn the seat from forward to rear facing. What a treat! In order to turn the seat around you simply press the gray tabs on the side and lift up, flip the seat around and reinsert the tabs. Talk about easy! I preferred the use of the rear facing when out and about but my daughter loves to ride around in the stroller in our home and we use the forward facing for this. The storage basket beneath the stroller was a great size. What made it work better was that the seat was a little higher up so in addition to the basket being larger it was deeper top to bottom as well. I could easily place my diaper backpack and winter coat in the basket and not have to shove it in. Both of the parent and child trays were great! They were solid plastic and removable which made them easy to clean in the case of accidental spills and sticky hands. Just pop them off and rinse them in the sink. The car seat was lightweight and also had a great sunshade! The sunshade pulled forward without getting hung on the handle which was a nice feature. Overall the car seat was pretty basic but did the trick. The base was easy to install in the car using my vehicle's LATCH system. Another great feature of this system is the ability to hook the car seat directly into the stroller without the stroller seat in place. This streamlined the stroller and made it even more lightweight when out and about. A couple of cons to consider about this travel system. First is the smoothness of the ride. Compared to my jogging stroller, the bumps of even basic sidewalk walking were intense. Fortunately, my little one didn't mind but she jiggled the entire way when we strolled outside. Another con was the brakes. Even with the brakes engaged you could still scoot the stroller, no matter the surface. I think this has more to do with the smooth tires in the back as the brakes were clearly locked. Overall this was a great addition to our mobile family! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall I had mixed emotions on this travel system. It was not the most user friendly but it did provide great storage and growth opportunities.Currently I prefer to use the infant carrier clipped into the stroller but I love that as my 5 month old grows this will be able to grow with her. I appreciate that I can also use this stroller for my 2 year old and it does not take much to convert between the two options.  I love how big the storage underneath was, I could fit all the required gear for taking both of my kids to the children's museum and a few extra shopping bags that we picked up along the way. I appreciated that the parent tray fit my large cup, big bonus! Here is where part of this proved to be less than user friendly, it takes two hands to break the stroller down for travel. This is very inconvenient with one child, let alone two. Additionally, the stroller does not automatically lock when closed, you have to clip it shut manually. This was not a feature that I enjoyed. Personally I did not like that the wheels were plastic, I feel like the stroller is set up to grow with your children but the plastic wheels really limit how long this will last and where you can take it. If you are only using this for indoor purposes, this will meet your needs. For me, I live on a street without sidewalks, so I prefer being able to use one stroller for all of it. Installing the carseat was another piece that was not super user friendly. It was super easy to level the carseat base however the anchors are not ideal. It was a challenge, even for my small fingers, to get the anchors removed from the carseat base and also clipped into my vehicle. I also had a tough time getting the infant carrier out of the base a couple times. I will say, this infant carrier is lighter than others I have tried, that was convenient for me.The fabric is easy to wipe clean but not very soft or comfortable, I would not want my skin rubbing on that every time I was in the car. I did really like the look, it was sleek and stylish. I felt like this was a great color option for both my son and my daughter. The design looks were probably my favorite part of this system followed by the growth options. I was given this travel system to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
