Liked the car seat more than the stroller
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Modes Element Travel System was just not right for us. Right out of the box, there was a strong plastic/chemical odor. I had to let the stroller and car seat air out a day before assembling. Putting together the stroller was relatively easy. I liked that it came with both the child and parent tray included. The stroller is lightweight and easy to maneuver, but it is not a smooth ride at all. To get the seat to recline, there is a strap that you need to release and to bring the seat up, the same strap needs to be pulled. This was pretty awkward for us and we would have preferred the ease of maybe a button or handle to quickly be able to do this. The same applies for adjusting the foot rest. The velcro straps were awkward as well. The car seat was very easy to install thanks to the latch, and I really appreciated that you could adjust the seat base so that the seat was properly aligned. My only issue with the seat was the loud clicking sound the canopy made when I wanted to shade my baby from any sun/glares. My girl tends to take a nap in the car and the one time the canopy wasn't down, setting it down woke her up. The whole system is easy to lift and take in and out of the car, but I see our family using the car seat alone and not so much the stroller. I appreciate being given this travel system to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
Gets the Job Done
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very lucky to receive this travel system from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The stroller and car seat work very well together. For taking a quick trip to the store/mall/wherever you need to go and don't want to take your little one out of the car seat, this is perfect. As the title of my review says, it gets the job done. Car seat: The Graco Snugride Snuglock 35 is hands down one of the best car seats on the market. I am so impressed with it! There is nothing "fancy" about it; it has excellent crash test ratings and safety features (I did my research), which is what makes it one of the best. It's lightweight, has a large canopy that shades my little guy well, and a nice, neutral stripe print that my two month old focuses on, so it keeps him pretty entertained. He also looks pretty comfortable in it. Installing the car seat into the car without the base (so seat belt only) is easy, but taking the seat belt off was a pain. The seat belt got stuck under the pathway where it hooks when I was trying to take it out of the car so I had to awkwardly maneuver it to get it out. My little one was very unimpressed. That said, I definitely prefer using a base with it. Installing the base in the car was a breeze. The car seat clicks into it no problem. It does take a tiny amount of wiggling to get it off of the base. It also takes a little bit of work to attach it to the stroller, but that's to be expected with these types of car seat adapters. Stroller: The stroller rides pretty smoothly. I love the full recline feature so I can put my baby in there, especially when he's fussy and I need to calm down. Just walking it around the house helps him. It is easy to steer and maneuver, I just don't know how well it's going to hold up in the long run. I love that this stroller comes with a parent's tray and tray for the toddler seat so there's no need to purchase them separately (thank you Graco). The basket underneath is VERY roomy. It's easy to remove the toddler seat and reverse it when you want. The one-hand fold is a great feature and folds up nicely for easy storage. The only thing that really bothers me about this stroller is that it looks nicer than it feels. Not the best of materials are used on this travel system, but again, it gets the job done well. Overall, it's a good travel system. Separately, I love the car seat, and while the stroller has great features, it doesn't feel as sturdy as it looks.
Very easy to move around every terrain
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a first time mom, I am always on the go either walking or traveling by car. I had a small stroller when my baby was born to use it with the car seat. It was fine in the city but didn't do well on different terrains so I was limited to just walk on asphalt. When I received this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel I was so HAPPY that the stroller wheels were big and appropriate for every terrain. I went to the park with my baby and I had to cross a really tough area with rocks and the stroller did pretty well, my baby didn't seem too bother as I maneuver around the rocks so that was a plus. The stroller moves very smoothly and it's handles are soft. My favorite feature is that it has a one hand folding bottoms so you can hold the baby and fold the stroller at the same time. ( I'm often just by myself and I need it to be easy to collapse while I also hold my baby and get it inside our apartment.) When folded it doesn't use too much space and it stands by itself pretty well. It is not very compact but it's not huge either. It's not too heavy for me and I'm 5'2 and have to get it upstairs to the second floor. ( I also have a jogging stroller and it's too big, it uses too much space I really dislike it. I was totally miserable bringing it up and down the stairs) I never used the storage basket with heavy stuff but it's very spacious and easy to bring things in and out without bothering baby or waking her up when she is asleep. The sit reclines to almost flat so my baby can nap very comfortably while I'm running errands. I could even change her diaper once on the go with no problems. I absolutely like how easy it is to change the sit position facing me or facing front and my baby enjoys it as well. The canopy is pretty big and it feels sturdy. It has a peekaboo window to look at baby. The breaks are on each side of the wheels and they are good but I would appreciate if it was only one pedal to control the breaks with just one foot. It has the option to use the car seat on the stroller frame without the toddler seat, also a great feature for when we drive and go shopping I can just take the car seat and connect it to the frame and go, it's so easy:) it comes with a child and parent tray which are pretty standard and funcional. The only thing it don't like it's the straps. The shoulder straps are disconnected from the waist straps so you have to line them up all together in the correct side and it's hard to do it with a squirming anxious baby sometimes. That's why I didn't think it's a 5 stars product. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this travel system.
Good Stroller
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Graco Modes Element LX Travel System from the Stellar Product Testing Panel to test out with my 6-month old son. To start, assembling it was a breeze, easy instructions and required no tools. The stroller frame is durable, has tons of storage room underneath which is a great feature when you are juggling a diaper bag and shopping bags. However, the storage area slants and isn't very deep so things fall out. I loved the cup holders and small tray on the handle but wished the tray would have been deeper. The durable frame provides a smooth ride and collapsing the stroller is super easy with one hand. I would have also preferred that the wheels were rubber, not plastic. Now onto the car seat…it was not as durable and the plastic felt cheap. I didn't like that the canopy had no structure and you had to pull it over the handle each time. I would prefer a canopy that you can just fold back and forth. The car seat also felt spread out, wasn't very deep and the sides didn't come up very far which made it feel like the baby wasn't as protected. I also didn't like that the straps by his head didn't have cushion or padding on them. The release button would have been nicer on the top bar rather than in the back of the car seat. Overall, I think the quality if reflected in the price point, good stroller system but could be better.
Functional, dependable travel system
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Being a new mom is tough. It's nonstop, 24/7, and the most important job you will ever have. That's why finding baby gear that makes taking care of your little one easier is SO important. My 5 month old uses his travel system every single day, so I was excited to try this Graco travel system that I received from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. After thoroughly testing out all aspects of this travel system, here are my thoughts: My 5 month old fits great in the Graco SnugRide 35 lite lx car seat, and after easily installing the base of the car seat into my vehicle using the latch system, I was able to smoothly transfer him in his car seat from my car to the stroller without waking him up - huge win! Since my baby is still so young, I currently configure the stroller to have the car seat snapped into the stroller facing me so that I can keep an eye on him at all times. As an aside, the canopy on the car seat is a nice feature - it covers a very large area which protects your baby from both the sun and also anyone trying to get too close! The toddler seat also has a large canopy, so your child can be protected no matter which configuration you use. The storage area below the stroller is simply fantastic. I am able to fit my oversized diaper bag in this area in addition to a small grocery list worth of items. This makes running to the store SO MUCH easier and is a huge benefit for me. This is definitely my favorite aspect of the entire travel system. While shopping, I've had the opportunity to use the parent tray. Although it's convenient to have, I think the plastic feels a bit cheap and seems to be a lower-end quality, which is unfortunate because this entire travel system gives off a modern, high-end vibe and is very aesthetically pleasing overall. Since my little one and I are on the go daily and are in and out of the car multiple times a day, having a stroller that easily folds up and can be put into the trunk without too much hassle is essential. After practicing a few times, I am now able to fold this stroller up with one hand only! Amazing! My last thought is pretty insignificant, but was still an issue for me nevertheless. In order to turn the brakes on the stroller off, you have to lift up two levers which are located at the very bottom of the stroller next to each back wheel. If you're wearing sneakers, this wouldn't be an issue. However if you're wearing flip flops or open-toed shoes, get ready for your toes to feel a bit uncomfortable! Overall, this is a very functional and dependable travel system that I would recommend.
Quit your search, this is it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried multiple strollers, even some with a very high price point and I just couldn't find one I loved. That is, until I got to try this one out! It's so quick and easy to connect the infant seat to the stroller frame. No additional parts are necessary, unlike another pricey brand I tried. I love that the toddler seat can recline flat and turn into a bassinet of sorts for a newborn. The ability to turn the toddler seat forward or rear-facing is a plus.I love how easy it is to fold and stands once folded, making it easy to get in and out of the car. The infant seat is well made, yet light weight and sturdy. I felt that they straps seemed a bit flimsy compared to another seat we love. However, the splitter plate is slightly different and makes removing the straps a breeze. The canopy is huge and provides ample protection from the elements. The multiple position handle makes it easy to carry and get baby in and out. Baby looks comfortable in the seat and doesn't seem to have any issues with it. Plus I love the design on the underside of the canopy. It's different than any other design I've seen and is the perfect neutral pattern. I received this travel system to review as part of the weespring parent panel.
Great quality travel system!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Graco Modes Element DLX Travel System from the Stellar Product Testing Panel to test! Out of the box, I was impressed with the quality of the stroller from the frame to the fabrics. It was easy enough to put together and I especially loved that it came with a parent and child's tray. There are so many things I love about this travel system! I love that you can have the car seat attach to the frame without having the stroller seat atttached. That helps keep it light and not bulky when you don't need it. The storage basket is HUGE. You can fit so much and have very easy access to it all! The one-hand fold is quick, easy, and self-latches. You do have to make sure you have the stroller resting on the handle when folded or it'll fall over. The stroller is easy to steer and feels sturdy. The child seat seemed comfortable and it lays back nearly flat which is nice. I am truly impressed with the quality of the material! I do find that the buttons for removing the child seat are a bit uncomfortable and awkward to use, but it's fast, so its not a huge issue. My husband is 6'1” and unfortunately he had to be very careful when walking to not kick the basket. The basket angles out a bit at the bottom where you walk. So this may not be a good option if you're tall. The car seat feels like premium quality. I absolutely love it! The base was a total cinch to install and I have never had a base feel so secure before— just wow! The harness is easy to adjust and I like that it comes with neck protectors for those sweet chubby necks! Overall, I would definitely recommend this travel system!
Great functions
I was given this stroller to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. This stroller is great, it is the perfect stroller that you can keeps for years and years and don't have to keep wasting money on new strollers. It has the capability to put a infant seat in it ( which to be honest I have not tested because my son is older, but I have one on the way so I'm excited I will be able to use it then). That will save a lot of money. It moves very easily and what I really liked about it was I was able to push it with my hand while I was walking which some strollers you are not able to do that with. It was very smooth and easy to push. My son really seemed to love it, you can adjust the seat to lean back or be forward so if he wanted to take a nap it was very convenient. Also the straps were perfect for him, I've had trouble with other strollers straps falling off my son, but this one was perfect. It also was fairly easy to fold up, and I also liked that I could fold it up and it would stand by itself. The one thing that probably could be a little better, the shade part I wish was a little better, I don't know if it's just because it was in the box folded weirdly but it kind of is wrinkled and just kind of droopes a little.
Highly recommend! 👍
We have been using it for more than a year on the Graco Modes Element Travel System, and here's my honest review! Top-notch! The 5-point harness and snug lock ensure my little one is secure. Plus, it meets all the safety standards, which is a huge relief. 🙌 It's like a mini lounge for my baby. The padded seat and multi-position recline make every ride super comfy. Perfect for those long strolls. 🛋️ Built to last! The materials are high quality, and it feels really sturdy. No worries about it breaking down anytime soon. 💪 Surprisingly lightweight! It folds easily and fits nicely in the trunk. A lifesaver for busy moms and dads on the go 🚗 So much room! The large basket underneath holds all my essentials, from diapers to snacks. Never have to worry about running out of space. 🎒 Overall, the Graco Modes Element Travel System is a must-have for any parent looking for safety, comfort, and convenience. 👌
Great travel system
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In purchasing a stroller I looked for something that was not too heavy, easy to carry and fold and with not too many attachments for it to fit in my small car trunk. This travel system has all that I was looking for.
