Great Travel System with a good stroller

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an awesome travel system with a nice functional stroller that I've really enjoyed taking my son on walks in! The infant carrier fits easily into the body of the stroller and seems very comfortable for my 5 month old. I've also tried taking my 23 month old toddler on a walk in it in the toddler configuration, but (like in literally every stroller I've ever tried) she fights to get out. She did manage to stay in comfortably for the first and last 10 minutes of the walk though, which is better than in most strollers. The tray is good for holding snacks too! As a car seat, it's fairly easy to install and once it's in its easy to pop in the carrier and go. My favorite part of the travel system is the easy portability - it's not extremely heavy and it's easy to get around town with. I received the product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel and it has been wonderful!

Pleasantly Surprised by new Travel System

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently Stellar Product Testing Panel gave me the opportunity to try out and review the Modes Element DLX Travel System. Being a mom of three kiddos, aged 3, almost 2, and nearly 2 months old, it is important that I have a quality travel system that is easy to use. I need to be able to get out of the house, run errands, take my kiddos to their classes and activities, all while sustaining my sanity. I was pleasantly surprised by this travel system because, I've become so fond of the system I've used since my first baby was born, that I didn't think that another company could outdo it, but I was wrong. The first aspect of the Modes system that surprised me was the fact that the car seat is not only quality made, but it's also lighter than any infant car seat that I've used regularly, or temporarily borrowed. What I've observed, in the past, is that you either get quality materials that are heavy, or you get a lighter product that seems to be made with cheap materials. The Modes car seat is solid, has comfortable padding for baby, feels secure and well made, and is light and easy to carry with one arm. More great features of the cars seat include, how easy it is to put it in and take it out of the car, when using the base, and how easy it is to secure baby and take her out of it. Once I had the base installed in my vehicle, the car seat only needed to be set on the base, listening for the click, that alerts you that the seat is secure. Taking the car seat out is as simple as pulling the easy to use release, and lifting the car seat. Installing the base was a bit difficult, but that was because I have very little space to maneuver, as we have three car seats across our second row in our mid-sized suv. If I had space on both sides to work with, installing the base would've been simple and easy. I found that I really enjoyed the stroller that came with this travel system as well. It has an incredible amount of storage space below the seat, which is essential when you have as many little ones as I do. I had plenty of space for our diaper bag, blankets, drinks, etc. The car seat easily mounts into the stroller, so going from the car to stroller is quick. The only thing I'd change about the stroller is making the stroller fold down smaller. Although, I'm not sure that that is possible. I think you either have to sacrifice the size of storage on the stroller to have it be more compact, or you have to sacrifice the space that a bigger stroller takes up, to have more storage. Overall, I would definitely recommend this travel system to anyone who inquire about it. I look forward to using it daily with my baby and putting my old faithful car seat away for only occasional use.

Versatility that is easy to use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Modes(TM) Element DLX Travel System has so many configuration options, and transitioning between them is so smooth. The Click Connect base makes it very easy to get the car seat in and out of the car, especially in rainy Portland. Because of the one handed release of the stroller, you can easily pull the car seat out of the trunk, flip it open, and lock in the car seat in 60 seconds. The bucket part of the car seat is snug, in the best ways, and hugs my baby's core; Which she loves, and falls asleep often. I also love the reversible stroller seat. Often I have a hard time seeing/hearing what my toddler is talking about when we are out on walks. When he's facing me, our conversations and communications are so much easier. The only struggle I had was finding the wheel pins when assembling the stroller. I knew they were tiny, and I could not find them. I eventually found them sealed in red plastic on the edge of the bag. I also love that the stroller seat fully reclines for walking naps and is just as easy to sit up. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this travel system.

Functional Travel System with Flexible Stroller

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Graco Modes Element Travel system is a great option that hits all the necessities of a travel system with some nice benefits in the stroller. When first taking out the car seat, I was happy with its lightweight feel. Another car seat I have is significantly heavier, so this is easier to carry with my daughter in it. The Click Connect system locks in with an evident sound that makes it easy to know that it is in place. Adjusting features like the harness position is simple enough, and the instructions were clear on how to do so. One thing that I was not as happy with was the location of the harness release. It is right where the excess strap is, but covered by the cloth overlay of the seat. I put my finger through the strap hole to find it and push it down, but it should work by pushing on the cloth itself, too. My husband and father installed the base in the middle position of a small sedan using the lap belt method. I found it to be no different than other bases I have installed. Instructions are easy to understand, but getting the base tight enough to be installed properly is hard. With two adult men kneeling on the base, rocking it back and forth, and pulling on the belt, it was still challenging to get the base tight enough. I did not attempt the LATCH install because it wasn't possible in the middle seat in that car. It has the hook style attachments, which I have heard can be a little tougher to get off when it's time to remove the base, so I preferred the belt method anyway. Overall, the seat seemed plenty functional with all needed options, but adjustments required a little more work, such as pulling straps through and rerouting them each time the child grows out of the last position. The stroller had several parts and required a little more assembly than I expected, but was very easy to do. Some steps in the instructions were actually already complete out of the box, so that helped speed things along. In using the stroller, I found it easy to push, even one handed, and I liked how easy it was to put things in and out of the bottom basket. I used the stroller with the toddler seat with my daughter, who is still pretty young, and felt I was able to get the straps tight enough for her to be in it. It is easy to raise and lower the seat, and the option to fully recline the seat and put the foot rest up to a bassinet setting is great for a safer sleep position with a young baby. My only critique is that when trying to click in the car seat either over the toddler seat or by itself in the frame, it was hard to line it up to get it to click in. When in just the right spot, it clicked in easily, but I often struggled to get it there on the first try. Overall, the car seat has all the required features without many bells and whistles, and the stroller has some great flexibility in how it is used, which to me makes it the star of the package. I am thankful to Stellar Product Testing Panel for giving me this travel set to review and test. It is a great option for a set that is budget-friendly and still provides some better features in the stroller.

Great Travel System

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a first time parent, the options for strollers and carseats can be so overwhelming. New parents, look no further than this travel system from Graco. We loved the infant seat and how easy it was to secure the base in my car. Once the base is installed you lock the seat in place, and can unlock it just as easily when it's time to go. No waking your precious sleeping baby when taking them in and out of the car. The stroller is perfect for newborns through toddlers. You can either lock the carseat onto the stroller or turn the seat into a bassinet. Once baby grows, the seat transitions to a traditional toddler seat with a secure 5 point harness. This travel system has an amazingly large storage basket that easily holds my now giant diaper bag! The stroller moves great and handles really well. And was super easy to assemble; no tools needed! Easy to assemble is my favorite part of this entire travel system. Thanks to Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending me this product to review.

Luxurious, but large.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, this is a 5 star product in terms of quality and features, so I was super excited to test it as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, but in the end it gets three stars because the stroller portion is HUGE and that's incredibly inconvenient for me. Notes from beginning to end... Assembly required; instructions clear and no tools, but took some time. Adjusting the back recline on the stroller is soooo easy, but figuring out footrest recline took me minute. The car seat is pretty standard for what's on the market, but also my favorite part of this travel system. The base installs in minutes and car seat truly does clip in and out easily. Attaching/detaching the car seat to the stroller with the toddler seat is really snug, and jostled my babe quite a bit. However, attaching the car seat without the toddler seat is a breeze, and probably my favorite way to use this travel system. Folding up the stroller is easy, but counter intuitive; it pulls towards you instead of folding down. When folded up, it is *VERY* large (about 4 ft x 2 ft) and took up the entire trunk space in my Jeep. This made it inconvenient to haul around (no place for groceries!) and tough to find a good storage space in my small home. Opening once folded (with toddler seat) is theoretically easy with just one latch to open, but it definitely takes two hands and is a bit too heavy, so it actually fell over about every other time I tried to open it. Features I love: it really does have a giant storage tray on bottom that has room to spare with my fully loaded diaper bag; the parent tray is perfect for phone/keys/coffee and the kids tray is great for snacks/sippy cups/toys; the sun shades on the stroller and car seat are nice, heavy duty, and even have an SPF rating, and I love that the stroller fully reclines for all the times that babes inevitably end up falling asleep. I travel cross-country/internationally quite often, so here are my thoughts on that: If traveling with it on an airline and also bringing the car seat, it would definitely be easier and more compact to leave the toddler seat at home. Folded this way it's more like 3'x1 1/2' and mostly bars. The plastic trays do extend out a good ways and I'm curious how these would hold up to baggage handling when gate checked. Honestly, if traveling alone (as I often do) this would NOT be my go to stroller, but it's excellent as more of a luxury stroller for around town/neighborhood/park.

Amazing all Around

After my husband accidentally ran over our tried and true Graco stroller rendering it difficult to use and manuver we had been on the lookout out for a new travel system when our new baby arrived. Thanks to Stellar Product Testing Panel I was given this travel system to try and review, and it has been a dream! When we got the new system set up was a breeze and no tools required which was awesome! The car seat part of the system is great, much lighter than the one we had been using, and one thing I really liked was that the shade actually stayed in place rather than falling down like some others do. Putting the base in the car was easy, and the attached level was nice to let you know the angle was correct! As for the stroller I can't say enough how much I love it! I love that I can use it as a travel system, or use the seat as baby grows, and that baby can face toward you in the seat! I also love how easy it is to open and close, and the fact it stands by itself is a amazing, since that is how the last stroller got run over, but most of all the storage basket on bottom is a dream so much space to throw all our stuff below, but also is so easy to access unlike other strollers! Overall mama and baby love the Graco Modes Element Travel System, thank you to Stellar Testing Panel for letting me try it out!

Travel System that Grows with Baby

This is a great one stop shop product for parents looking for a Travel System that can grow with baby from newborn stages to toddlerhood. The infant car seat 3-step installation was super easy to follow and took me under 10 minutes to install (I am not a handy person when it comes to installation either). I feel confident my baby will be safe with the snuglock technology that locks the seat extra tight for more security (the base was NOT going anywhere) which put me at ease. My baby is 8 months old and she was very comfortable in the seat which includes a cushiony body support pillow. I absolutely love how lightweight the infant seat is to carry around and makes life so much easier since it clicks into the stroller when we are on the go! As an active mom who is always outside, I loved using the stroller on the go because it was SO EASY to open and close with one hand! I also love how the storage space at the bottom fit my huge diaper bag and large water bottle along with extra room for my toddlers toys and other items. The cup holders were also a huge plus since most strollers you need to buy them as an add on item. My 3 year old son loved riding in the stroller as well as my baby so it is definitely comfortable from baby to toddlerhood. I was not impressed with the wheels, which seem small compared to other models and I did not like the material was plastic instead of rubber. My biggest complaint with this product was upon opening the product it had a strong chemical odor from the materials that did not dissipate for many days, the smell made me feel sick and therefore I felt uneasy using it with my baby in it. In addition, I almost threw away the pins that came with the wheels to install because they were hidden and so small in the packaging. I was given this travel system to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Cons: Strong Odor, Plastic wheels, bulky for storage Pros: Large stroller space for storage, easy click in installation system, Easy to fold stroller, lightweight, comfortable

Great backup for grandmas house

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Modes Element Travel System through Stellar Panel in exchange for an honest review. I have three kids, so I find myself an expert at this point when it comes to strollers and baby gadgets. If you are on a budget or need a secondary stroller, this system is it. I love the versatility of it and that it can switch from bassinet, to forward and front facing along with being able to use the car seat on stroller base a big plus those first few months with baby. This would be a great system if you need a second car seat or stroller system for grandmas or babysitters. I live in a fairly mixed urban/rural area and do a lot of walking so these wheels being plastic I can see wearing down fast over time. Really wish they were rubber or inflated so longer duration. Love the large under carriage basket. Big plus! The large canopy and seat liner are also great but material in general feels a little flimsy though to be expected at this price point. Thanks Stellar Panel for gifting me this system. I have a backup for grandmas house

Great versatility!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The stroller was easy to put together and is very versatile. The only negative I have about it is that it doesn't have a handle to carry it while folded and has the tray and footrest sticking out when folded with the toddler seat. So it is not as easy to travel with as some others. I love Graco though and the wheels are very sturdy and smooth to push.
