Nice little DVD player with HDMI that gives near High Def quality picture. Sold at a good price and fast shipping. Was easy to install, but you will need to purchase a HDMI cable. The only dislike is there is no window showing "open" "close" or time remaining. There is only a little green light on the button to show the DVD is on.

I needed to replace a Sony CD Changer that finally gave out after having it for many years, many years. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on another CD Changer so I went with this player. Granted it doesn't have all the features my changer did but it does what I need it to do and that's okay my beloved CDs.

This DVD player was easy to set up. I have a Sony Bravia TV so it worked immediately with my TV. The video is crisp and clear. The sound is big bold and clear (it goes through a sound bar and woofer). As far as I am concerned there is nothing negative to be said about this DVD player.

A DVD player is typically operated from from the front but this unit has button labels which can only be viewed from the top. To operate this at eye level the buttons need temporary labels until which is which is learned. Bad ergonomics. Also, the remote is not designed for ease of one handed button pressing. Again, bad ergonomics. To its credit is the inclusion of HDMI output and it worked right out of the box; no set-up required.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well, I am rating based on assumptions, because we have not yet hooked up the DVD player. The price was good, but I cannot fully comment on the quality (which appears very good) or overall satisfaction until we use the unit.

I bought this for my mother after searching for a blu ray player. Disappointed that Wal-Mart cannot provide separate categories for these two types of products. Pathetic. Guess I'm learning something, right. Never trust the Wal-Mart website to get distinctions right.

Bought less then 30 days ago. Can not turn subtitles off. Remote has a subtitlee button but it dosn't work. I have tried new releaces and older movies. This if the dvd player itself. Mot happy feel cheated. Pass on this one. Not worth it. The onn brand from wallmart was better then this.

This dvr player fills my need for an inexpensive but good quality item If you only watch a few dvr a month, this is a perfect light duty player. Installation is a plug and play snap... took me all of one minute to get it together. My only suggestion is to note in the ad that you need to have a HDMI cable, not included, to ease the installation .

Needed an extra DVD Player to play on an older TV without HDMI. Use it in a separate room to play Movies and TV Series like Combat/Columbo/Batman/Tales From The Darkside/Dinosaurs.....etc.....Pretty much everything the Wife doesn't want to watch! (LOL) It's a perfect DVD player for that purpose and it's small and compact and very easy to hook up and controls are a breeze. I will say this: It Will Not play the OLD RAM REWRITABLE DVD'S that I had recorded. When it tries to load them, it Labels them as Dirty DVD's and I'm assuming that means they are classified as Pirating. Obviously, they aren't aware that we had REWRTTABLE RAM DVD'S at one time and they were completely legal. But that was when dinosaurs roamed the earth.

Player is slim and compact, easy to set up with just the a/v output and general power plug. Remote included with many functions. Picture and audio are clear. All features have been tested and working as expected, except setting the remote to also control my tv, which I just have not tried at all. Great value from a brand I trust.
