Did not mention anywhere on box that this did not come with HDMI cable. Just that this was an HDMI DVD player. Had to go back to store and purchase cord. Once I did that it worked fantastic

Works as advertised low price lacks some features higher end units have like a track display. I wanted a basic unit to play CDs is exactly what I needed without spending a lot of money

This was a great replacement to my previous dvd player. The only thing I dislike are the raised buttons for the play, ejection, etc. buttons. I prefer flat buttons as it gives the device a sleeker look. the slivers buttons cheapens the look. However, it still works well.

Tried to watch one of my older DVD Christmas movies with my kids and realized my DVD player I had was so outdated that you could barely see a clear picture. So that's when I realized I needed to upgrade so I did a little research and found this DVD player. It has the upscaling HDMI hookup feature which is what I needed in order to get the clearer picture. I know I wanted something simple and not too expensive. This does the job and costs under $40 so I'm happy. Good purchase.

It seems to work just fine. I easily figured out how to push the buttons. It takes a little presser to work the buttons. The design is small, light and sleek and there is a tiny light to tell the player is on so it does not catch your eye while watching. The picture quality is just fine. There is no code for VIZIO tvs so you can not use the Sony remote on the VIZIO tv.

This DVD player arrived on time and was packaged well. It was hooked up and it will not play the DVD's. You can hear the DVD spinning inside the unit, but it doesn't work. Now i will have to take it back. Not happy and either was my 5-year-old son who was so excited to watch his movie.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was DOA I got home unwrapped and plugged in per instructions. Nothing - no lights, no buttons worked. I tried a different receptacle - same results. Return on line and took back to store was simple and easy. I wish the product had worked.

I bought the DVD player for my grand daughter to watch in our spare bedroom when she comes over. Last week she stayed in that room for the first time, she never slept in that room before. She said that she wanted to because of the new DVD player, she had a great time in that room watching the DVD and when I told her that the unit also played CD's she went wild ! She loves to listen to Carrie Underwood. We could not get her out of that bedroom, for over a year or more we wanted her to sleep in one of our two spare bedroom but she wouldn't. She is 5 years old and after last weekend she now wants to come over and stay in the bedroom with the new Sony DVD / CD player. Feels great !!
