my daughter got this dvd player for christmas and i hooked it up to her new seiki tv with a hdmi cord and it was that easy 10 mins later watching a movie!

The picture quality seems to be quite good and the hookup was easy. I find the remote difficult to use when trying to get to a specific point on a DVD, but this just may be a case of a learning curve and not the remote's fault.

It is what it is, if you need a DVD player in this day and age this one is affordable and works great. I'd even save a few bucks on an open box option because the quality is good enough that there's likely no mechanical issues.

Since nobody repairs home electronics anymore, once your DVD/CD player goes kaput (usually the laser sensor or a tray belt) you have to buy a new one. Fortunately, this was an inexpensive little player and it does hat it is supposed to do.

It was great except it arrived all taped up. Looked like it had been thrown around. Had NO REMOTE with it. Luckily I bought the same one I bought last time, and the old remote works on the new player.

Bought as a gift for my 2 year old grandaughter to watch Dora the explorer & other dvd's in her bedroom. Mom (my daughter) says it was easy to hook up & setup. They love it :)

We purchased two Sony DVD players for use in different rooms. Both are working perfectly and have improved our ability to satisfy the viewing interests of multiple family members.

We have only used our Sony DVD in a motor home a few times. Now the remote does not work. I have tried everything, including a replacement universal remote. Still the remote feature does not work at all.

It plays movies. Buttons are tiny. Weird configuration of steps to play. You have to go to the end of movie to restart. Even if you open and close, it goes to where you left off.

My Sony HDMI DVD Player works wonderful. The picture is very clear and vibrant. A wonderful buy. I saved $'s buying refurbished. You would also want to buy a 2-3year protection plan, just in case something were to come up.
