My dual unit bit the dust, first the tape player and finally the DVD player; so it was time to go on the hunt for a new unit. I had an old tape player that still worked well enough, so all I really needed was a DVD player that had an HDMI hookup. This unit was perfect! It was easy to set up, the remote did not require an engineering degree, and the picture was great. This is the perfect unit for someone who has no need of all the bells and whistles, just wants to be able to watch a DVD now and then.

The SR510 DVD Player This in my view the best on the market today and you can't beat the price, it was not at my Walmart but I ordered it and 1 day later I'm picking it up at the service desk. It plays all types DVD's crisp and clean, loads fast, I have 3 of them and recommend the unit strongly

These Sony DVD players only last about a year to a year and a half. Other than that for the money it works for me. I had a Sony Dvd player I purchased in 2007. It lasted me 10 years before it died on me. The new ones don't seem to be of the same quality, but as I previously stated for the price it's nit bad. Just don't expect it to last too long.

Was the easiest to hook up of anything we had tried! After trying two other dvd players, and having trouble with, and/or not knowing the right hook-ups to the items, we finally found one that matched the hdmi on the TV we have. We are now finally happy with this product.

This was actually the second one that I have purchased. For the money it is on point. I have one in two bedrooms now in case someone wants to pop in a DVD while hanging in bed. I have had the first one for at least 3 years now without any issues. Only thing I wish it had was a display on the front. I also have the older "Component Plug Only" twin to this HDMI version in a 3rd bedroom. The Component Plug Only has a display that greats you and lets you know at what point you are at time wise in the DVD that you are watching. This HDMI version had no display at all. Only the power button on the machine lights up when the power is on or off.

This is a very compact player without a lot of frills, but it does the job. Movies play perfectly and music CDs play perfectly and I have had no problems at all with the Sony DVD player. I have a Vizio sound bar and the movies and music is awesome with the two paired together. This does the job I was looking for it to do!

I've had it for about 3 years, use only occasionally for exercise DVDs or DVDs of movies and such from the library. It's fine for both DVDs and CDs, though. The remote is a bit clumsy to operate and could be better designed and simplified, but I'm spoiled by Roku remotes so that's maybe not realistic. I'm actually ordering a second one for a different area. Hard to eat the quality for the money for basic operations.

I bought this to replace my old LG DVD player that stopped working. This Sony DVD player didn't play any of my dvd-r discs even though the description says it does. Luckily it was easy to return. I thought Sony would be better than LG but I was wrong and I ended up having to go back to LG.

The DVD player is fine. Picture is clear and it worked at least on a DVD from Switzerland, so we assume it will work with other European countries. My only issue is the remote that comes with the player does not have a pause button. It's inconvenient.

The product is good. The pick up was not. There was no one there. I had to wait at least five minutes and then someone in the back walked by - I think trying to avoid me. I yelled and they stopped and helped. Not good. I like the no shipping fee. I like Walmart products. The service was awful. Will not use again and I hate that. It seemed like such a great way to shop.
