The only thing I don't like is that there's no button on the DVD player itself to open/close the tray, you can only do it with the remote so I took off one star for that. I like to be able to walk over to the TV and change the disks without carrying the remote with me every time, can't do that anymore. Great unit for the price for sure.

I use this mostly for copied DVD's which are not perfect and the Sony magically improves the picture with its superb upscaling technology and even the sound is as good as you could expect. All DVD players are not alike and I see the Sony as the best you can get. Of course original DVD movies look and sound fantastic too.

I purchase 2 of these for my grandchildren for Christmas. They work perfectly and are user friendly, even for the 7 year old. Good value. It's a Sony so I knew it would be a quality product. The HDMI cable straight to the TV does make even the older DVD movies seem to have better picture quality.

This is my number 2 Sony DVD that I have purchased,I bought my last one 3 years ago and still works great,the one I just bought I ordered it thought Walmart website to pick up at store was surprised when I got a text saying it was ready to pick up that same day,was like awesome,easy to set up and love the fact that it has a hmdi connection,love it thank you for your fast service.

Ordered this DVD player today (12/28/20). Wow! Super fast delivery, got it later the same day. Delivery person was very nice thank you. Took it out of the box, setup was super easy. Just connected my hmdi cable from my TV to the DVD player. Setting up the player was quick and easy. Picture quality is vibrant, color is on point and sound quality is very nice. For the price, very nice. Great investment. I was playing DVD's on my laptop, however, the DVD player gave out. I'm glad I invested in this quality Sony DVD player. Thanks Walmart and Sony.

This item is so great that I purchased an additional one for another room in my home. Works great with an HDMI cord or the colored cords that comes with the DVD player. The pictures are very sharp - so now I know what 1080p upscaling means. It means you'll get sharp pictures.

Upscaling is pretty good, but the audio would skip every few minutes. This was not due to the DVDs because I tried it with several discs and they all had the skipping - even a brand new disc that had never been played before. Also, I didn't like the feel of the buttons on the unit itself (eject, stop, play, power) - have to press too hard. Fortunately, all the functions are also on the remote. The remote is great and was very easy to program to get it to also control my Toshiba TV. But because of the audio skipping issue, I returned this unit and wasn't inclined to try another one of the same model.

I purchased this specific DVD player because the description stated that it has a child tray lock. After chatting with Sony support it was discovered that it does not. I asked which model has child tray lock and he pointed me to this model BDP-S3700 . The actual dvd player itself is nice. The picture quality is clear. It is a good Dvd player but a bit bummed that it doesn't have the one feature I bought it to use.

The SR510H and its remote are half the size of the 2008 Sony player and remote it replaced. … nice. Set-up was a piece of cake, including controlling my Sony Bravia TV with the player's remote. The HDMI connectvity gives me a great picture and sound, which is pretty impressive considering the advanced age of my DVDs.

This DVD player is finicky and often requires reloading a disc once or twice before it will play. I ordered this one to replace an older one that did the same thing, only to find I bought the same model -- so the problem is not unique to my machine. It is a problem with the player model itself. Irritating.
