Bought this recently and have been binging on one of my favorite series. Sometimes, this high pitched noise comes out of the tv…sounds like a test of the ER broadcast system. I'm thinking maybe the disk is skipping or something, as the picture freezes for a second, then starts playing again. But I've only used these dvds one time in the past (my ancient dvd player is just not that easy to use as it hides behind my living room tv and is huge, not really convenient). I can't imagine so many disk are damaged. So I'm still in the process of finding out, but I doubt it's the disks.

I purchased this unit for it's multi-disc resume function when playing music CD's. The function is turned ON in the custom settings. From the description it sounds like it should resume play from the stop point of up to 6 cd's. Even after being powered off then back on.

Piece of cake to set up not bulky I like the size nothing like HDMI I put disc in just to make sure it work properly I have a 4K didn't want to spend a lot of money on a replacement DVD player because I gave my Blu-ray to my great Gran's they needed one so this is perfect small size doesn't take up a lot of space so everything in order sound bar DVD player fire stick I'm good I would recommend this quality is great

Absolute garbage, do not buy! I got one of these to replace an older one and it worked for less than a month of very occasional use. Got another to replace it and it it did not work straight out of the box. The newest one did the exact same thing the first one started doing after 2 weeks, where the buttons took forever to respond and then it would just freeze and have to be unplugged to even turn off. Returning.

This DVD player has no display or visual feedback when a button is pushed on the remote. It actually take a few seconds (up to 5) for the player to respond to the remote. This leads me to push the button multiple times and each time it countermands the previous push. If you want a cheap upscaling player this is it and it works pretty good but the upscaling in not top notch. If I hd it to do over then I would buy a better one.

My husband and I purchased this for our 2 year old son's room. It is perfect to play all his DVDs! This DVD Player does comes with a remote. The remote is universal meaning, you can program this remote to control your tv as well. When your watching and decide to turn off the DVD Player, when you turn it back on it will pick up EXACTLY where you left off. This is a great buy! Does NOT come with HDMI cord!

I think this is a fine product for the price. The setup was easy. It only comes with a component cord set, which makes little sense as it has an HDMI output. Would prefer a HDMI cord included. I have only had it a week, and I have only watched 2 movies. But, I bought 4 of these for rental cottages at a B&B, so I'll try to update this post (if allowed) after I see how well they hold up.. amazing how much abuse things get in cottages and hotel rooms!

This DVD player isn't worth any price; it's a worthless piece of junk. I've tried several of this same model player and they all have the same defect: it plays 3 or 4 dvd's just fine. But then any dvd afterwards, it pauses or freezes in various parts of the movie, or starts skipping. I don't understand how this player could actually be a “popular pick” and “frequently purchased” as labeled on here, when this model player has this specific defect. I don't know how Walmart continues to sell it in stores or on app.

I just picked up this item from my Walmart store after ordering it yesterday evening. I set it up in 10 mins and was impressed by all the features it offers beyond watching DVDs. I intend to order a second one tomorrow and keep this one as a backup player. You can't go wrong with this DVD player. It is nice to know if I want to do more with it than watch DVDs I can.

Cheap piece of machinery. Doesn't recognize the movie format. Must manually set if older black/white movie. Even letterbox of new color movies stretch the picture and people are wide and distorted. Gee each time you have to manually set the picture format but only 1 format really works. Newer movies if set to “normal” it's a small square box in middle of screen. The remote has too many buttons and so small and close together so you have to look closely before choosing. It's cheap price so you get what you pay for. Cheap performance. Need to return - bought in store. Highly dissatisfied.
