It came with the house, and was brand new. The washer did a wonderful job at washing clothes. It is quiet, and seems to be very efficient. The reason I gave it a three Star rating is because it is a front load washer. This is the second front load washer we have owned, and after the first, I said, I would never buy one. But it came with the house we bought. We have lived here for two years and it is time to replace the washer. The problem with front load washers is that no matter what you do, they always tend to smell like mold and mildew. We would leave the front door open on the washer. After each load, I cleaned the washer every time it started to smell or when the washing machine told me it needed cleaned. I ended up just cleaning it no matter what every two weeks. It still smells! I just don’t understand that at all.

one of the counter weights of the drum broke off; searching the reviews i see it's happened to others too. the replacement process has been horrible too; i am now giving up getting another samsung and going to work on getting cash back and buying a different brand. buyer beware....

We had a older Samsung set we liked but we were definitely in need of an upgrade. This machine works effortlessly and barely makes a sound. I wasn’t so sure I was going to like the white color since most of our home appliances are stainless steel or black stainless steel but in the end it really didn’t matter. I was disappointed though that this washer doesn’t come with a steam option and our older set did so that was a big bummer. I do like that these can be stacked on top of each other for space optimization. The washer is 27in with a pretty large 4.5cu ft drum. It holds a full load of clothes which i need with my kids and cleans them really well. I really enjoy the smart touch feature and the LED display that makes it easy to read. It comes with 10 preset washing cycles, 6 additional washing options and 5 temperature levels. The smart phone feature is super useful in managing your washer and I really love the self clean option since cleaning a washing machine I don’t consider fun. It is energy star compliant which is always nice since we watch how much electric we use closely. Even with missing the steam option this machine cleans well and it’s the first machine i recall having that had its own separate whites or active wear settings. I am very happy with this washer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve had this washer for almost a year now and it works well. It uses less water than our old top loading washer and still gets the clothes clean. The only thing I don’t like is that you have to leave it open or it smells bad, and the filter/drain is hard to catch the water unless it’s on a pedestal.

Love that the chime is also more musical than just a regular ding noise. Have several settings that you can use. The drum is also large enough for bedding. The brushed black is also very pretty.

It's spin cycle is as quiet as the wash cycle and the load run times are great. (By the time our old machine went out, it sounded like a jet engine and the loads took forever.) It stacked nicely with our existing Samsung dryer and the installation service was great.

Purchased the washer/dryer set today to replace a Kenmore set. After setting up began the calibration as per the manual and the washer only buzzed, and lasted for about 5 min then shut off. Tried to run a cycle with no laundry, same thing. The door was even able to be opened as this was happening. I am familiar with the sequence of events when a cycle starts as the Kenmore is identical to the Samsung and there is no door lock after any cycle is selected. It just goes bzzzzzzzzzz...... So needless to say this is an absolutely horrible experience and not one that I predict is able to be resolved promptly after dropping 2.5k on the set. I'll be in touch with Best Buy tomorrow to begin this process.

i have had this washer only two weeks and it shakes and vibrates so much it is terrible. a technician came and looked at it but found nothing wrong. this is my second samsung but will probably be my last unless something changes. i am so disappointed and don’t know what else to do.

Firstly the capacity - I can easily wash my comforters at home now and that is a huge convenience especially with the pandemic. Secondly there are enough settings to meet all my needs without overwhelming me. Next the self clean cycle ensures that I am not washing my clothes in a dirty machine. Additionally its quiet and energy efficient. Overall a great machine.

The capacity is very large. The best feature is the ability to set each part if the load cycle. Extra rinse, no spin, kind of hot, no problem.
