Air filter defect

Air filter problem!! The replacement filters are in square frames, yet the filter holder is rhombus shaped! The factory filter had no frame and was inserted on a slant. I bought this fridge in January and It is time to change the filter. There are no air filters on the market (even by LG!) that will fit the filter receptacle. Help, LG!

Amazing!

I bought this Lg a couple weeks ago to replace an old side by side fridge. Our dimensions were tight, and we needed counter depth. This fit the bill. Iy is a beautiful fridge. Water pour is on the inside side-so not to take up door space. Ice is in the freezer. The amount of space inside this appliance considering its counter depth is incredible. The shelves adjust and there is a ton of storage. I am very content with this purchase

Great refrigerator with a lot of room

We've had this French door refrigerator for a couple of months and really like. There is so much room (27 cu ft) that for two people looks empty. It's nice to have so much room for products. The one aspect I didn't like was the water spigot inside the refrigerator but find that the water comes out very quickly so the door isn't open a long time. I still would have preferred it in the door like my one refrigerator had but can live with this minor setback. I don't like ice in the door so this refrigerator is great that the ice maker is in the freezer portion. All in all we are quite pleased with this LG refrigerator.

Hey there! Sounds like your French door refrigerator has been a great addition to your home! Having all that extra space definitely makes organizing a breeze. Glad to hear the water spigot works efficiently, even if it took some getting used to. And with the ice maker in the freezer, it seems like you found the perfect fit. Hope you continue to enjoy it for years to come! 😊 ^ Diego

Not using latest compressor technology

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was forced to buy counter-depth vs std 27 cu ft b/c delievery people refused to move a 28 1/2" depth refrig through a 29" door opening. Payed $100 more, but figure meh, solves uncooperative movers. but, this has narrow shelves inside and huge door shelves --> would have preferred deeper shelves and less door shelf area. Also learned this one uses older, 4-piece-moving compressor design vs newer, single-piece-moving, so hoping it is as reliable for longer haul. Temp control is very good, like all LG's. Oh, the std 27 cu ft has multi-flow vs this filter flow, and would have liked to have had that as well. Lighting is very good inside. Haven't hooked up water line yet, but expect that will all go well, as other LG I have.

Overall I like it.

Overall I like this refrigerator, but I've had to purchase some little plastic “dividers” to go on the deep door shelves to keep smaller items from falling over every time the door is opened or closed. This isn't a problem if the shelf is packed with items, but if there's space, it is a problem. I like the ice maker - it makes a large quantity of ice and is easy to use. Also the filters are easy to access and change. (Note: I had to obtain an updated air filter cover/holder to actually fit the filters, but LG was very helpful.)

Fat door design didnt work for us

Extra thick doors contribute to the interior volume but were not compatible with our cabinets The door hinge location causes the fat doors to fold back, and because of trim around the opening we couldnt push the fridge in as planned. The thick doors actually made the fridge stick our further than a standard depth so we retuned for an LG standard depth. Also the effective storage is limited due to the shallow interior shelves

Upper Cabinet Doors Will Not Open

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Website does not show any photos of top of fridge!  There is a box on top of the fridge that our cabinet doors will not clear!  If you have a cabinet above your fridge like most people, it will need to be high enough to clear the "box" that is on top of the fridge, right behind the doors.  Our cabinets will need to be raised about a half inch to accommodate this box so that the cabinet doors can open fully.  A photo of the top of the fridge would have been very helpful along with more clearance measurements noting what is needed for upper cabinet clearance to allow cabinet doors to open.

The Best Refrigerator I've Ever Owned

We were looking for a refrigerator to fit into an odd sized corner nook and this unit turned up at an sale price. I was skeptical that a "counter-depth" refrigerator would ever hold enough of our food, or work as well as our prior refrigerator, but I am pleased to say it has checked every box I used to judge it's effectiveness. We also switched from a black, smudge-proof refrigerator to a stainless steel model. I was not hopeful I would like it as I have family that complain of the hand prints left behind after opening and closing their appliances done in stainless steel. After nearly 4 weeks of use I can solidly say I like it much better than the black refrigerator, and keeping the finger prints at bay has been no issue at all. I simple wipe the handles down daily as I always have and I don't have anything left behind. The refrigerator is quiet running, beautiful in it's new corner, and holds sooooo much more even though we only graduated from a 26 cu. ft. to a 27 cu ft. The arrangement is just what our kitchen needed to give me more floor space in just the right areas, and more storage space in others. I couldn't be happier with this purchase and would definitely refer anyone I know (or don't know for that matter) to buy an LG Counter Depth Refrigerator.

Exactly what we wanted.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After ready all the reviews we purchased our new LG refrigerator. So . far it has exceeded our expectations. We love the water dispenser in the refrigerator and the ice maker is perfect. All the ice we need plus. We especially like the counter depth as it seems to enlarge our kitchen. Would definitely purchase an LG product again.

Love this refrigerator!

Of course we like the french door, bottom freezer format. There are many out there. What I love is that everything feels refined and of high quality: doors and drawers operate very smoothly. It is VERY quiet. We chose not to have water/ice dispensed through the door because it looks cleaner outside and it also offers a lot more storage inside the left door. It has water dispensing inside the left door and an ice maker in the drawer. OK, what I don't like is that this is called a "counter depth" model which means that the only part of the refridge protruding beyond the counter should be the door thickness. In reality, the LG manual requires that there is 2 inches of space away from the wall. So the refridge body protrudes 2 inches beyond the counter, and the door is 4 inches thick. Therefore my "counter depth refrigerator" protrudes 6 inches beyond the counter! Come on guys. This is cheating. Still, I love this fridge!
