I have been using Vital Proteins collagen peptides for years, and have considered it to be a nice enough protein powder -- though I wouldn't say I've noticed a significant change in hair/skin/nails when I am taking it vs. when I am not. However, I find this new "Terms and Conditions" agreement on their packaging concerning: this does not send the message that Vital Proteins is willing to, in PR-speak, 'stand by their product.' I suggest researching "consumer forced arbitration" to learn more about the implications of these sorts of T&Cs. In the meantime, I will look for a brand that does not bind me to a "mandatory arbitration agreement" as soon as I open the package.

In January I started taking Vital for joint heath and hoping that it would help with my hair thinning problem. For me, the results were immediate (within just a couple of weeks), my hair began to appear fuller on top and I have very little hair loss or breakage. I usually only take one scoop a day. I just wish I'd tried it sooner! I usually add it to a smoothie or my coffee, it does seem to mix better in a hot beverage. You can taste it slightly, but for one cup a day the results I get are well worth it.

I've taken this product for nearly a year and found it helpful. Am very disappointed in the elimination of the scoop. I don't buy your explanation that it's your way of securing a more environmentally safe world. It's plain and simple a cost cutting measure on your part. Honestly goes a long way. I just ordered a different brand that was rated significantly higher that yours, so we shall see. Fortunately for me I've kept all my scoops and have used them for various other products. The scoop elimination, a big mistake.

I have been taking this daily for probably over a year now. The recommended dosage is 2 scoops daily but I take only one scoop with my morning coffee. It has no taste whatsoever. Honestly, I haven't noticed a difference in my skin or nails but with just the one daily scoop I have noticed a major difference in my hair. My hair is growing out long, thick and strong. There used to be clumps of hair in the drain after a wash, especially when I'd comb it out wet, and now there is literally no hair in the drain and minimal hairs after wet combing it. My hair would also shed lots when i'd dry comb it but now there are minimal hairs left in the comb. Again, I haven't noticed any difference in my skin and nails, but to be fair, I have never had issues with my skin. I'm 44 and don't have any wrinkles or face lines. My nails stay wrapped (powder manicure), so I haven't seen a difference there, either. I'm pretty active, I work out with kettlebells and free weights 4 times per week and haven't felt any joint pain. Not sure if that's due to exercise or this powder. Either way, for the hair improvements alone, this powder is totally worth it for me. This is my honest opinion of this product, and I highly recommend it.

You can see the distinct differences clearly by carefully reading the two labels side by side. “Original” and “Advanced” 1. Color has changed. This formula is pure white unlike the original that has brown speckles throughout. 2. The “Original” formula that I ordered has the Amino Acid Profile listed on the label. This “Advanced” formula does not. Why is this now missing on the “Advanced” label? 3. The “Original” formulation is Kosher, this “Advanced” formula is not! 4. The “Original” formulation is Whole Thirty approved. This “Advanced” formula is not. 5. The “Original” formula label reads “Dairy FREE” and “Gluten FREE”. The Advanced formula label reads “Made without Dairy” and “Made without Gluten”indicating possible cross contamination with the “new” manufacturing process?? This new “Advanced” formula is not what I ordered and not what I need. If I cannot continue to get the “Original” formula, I will be canceling my subscription and I definitely want a refund for the “Advanced” formula version I just received today.

Year 3~ never missed a day! I swear by it. I couldn't even do a squat three years ago, and now I run, walk, spin, and weight lift with very little issues. I am 53 years old, and feel better than ever!!! I constantly recommend Vital Proteins to my friends, family, and clients!

I ordered this to try to help some joint pain I've been having... unfortunately, it's so gross that I can't even bring myself to use it. It's not even the flavor that's the issue, it's the consistency. It's like drinking cooking oil, and it doesn't mix that well so some of it condenses on the bottom of whatever you put it in. I tried mixing it in a smoothie to get past the nasty oil feel, but it turned into a gel ball with powder in the middle. It takes about 10 oz. of water for ONE scoop (recommendation is two scoops), so I tried to just suck it up and drink the 10 oz. of water, but by about half way my body was gagging.

I purchased this about a month ago and after only a couple of weeks I felt a difference. I drink it every morning in my coffee and to much surprise, you cannot taste it! I've tried others and can taste it in anything I put it in but not this one. I had extremely bad knee pain which sometimes felt swollen or inflamed and after a couple of weeks it's gone. Definitely recommend. Only gave the 4 stars because it's not a full container and I ran out before my next shipment. Otherwise I highly recommend this product.

At first I thought this stuff was awful and how am I ever going to drink it. It clumped and had an horrible smell. I had to plug my nose and try to swallow it. I didn't give up and realized if the put it in hot water it dissolved great. I let it sit for a while to cool then added it to some powered drinks. I now drink it everyday with no problem. I'm on my second container. I've noticed my nails are much stronger.

I've been using this product for about a month now. I started out using 1 scoop daily. I'm not sure if I was using the product long enough/using enough of it to tell a huge difference. Since my second order I have went up to 1.5-2 scoops daily. I definitely notice that my hair grows so quickly! I think my skin overall has a smoother texture to it. My fingernails have gotten stronger and grow almost too fast for my liking haha!! The product has a slight flavor but it's not terrible. Also recommend mixing it into a warmer beverage, it clumps up a bit if I try to mix it with anything that is room temperature or colder. All in all, I love this product and I will continue using 1-2 scoops a day and I will update my results after a few months of continued use!
