But Westinghoue avail. ATS only 30A

Great portable 56 amp output 240v generator, but Westinghouse only offers 2 ATS (Automatic Transfer Switches) rated at 20A and 30A. This WGen11500TFc generator puts out 56 amps so what Transfer switch is available for the typical Do-It-Yourselfer compatible with it? Westinghouse does say it is ATS compatible, but then disappoints.

2nd One Purchased

This is the second W-House generator that I purchased. I sold the old generator with my old house and purchased a new one when I moved. I loved the reliability of my old duel fuel one and am excited that this one is Tri-Fuel adding a natural gas option. The remote start option sounds trivial but once the generator is set up, pointing and clicking from inside the house to start up the generator is a great feature especially in a major storm!

OUTSTANDING

I purchased this generator for backup residential power. Under the threat of a near record cold and snowstorm, my wife and I decided to invest in this unit. All accessories were neatly packed in a skinny cubicle box with all the parts wrapped individually in plastic bags. The oil, wheels, whenches, etc. were all included. (No missing parts). I read the instructions that were well worded and easy to follow, installed the wheels and legs, added the oil, and in my case gasoline, plugged in the battery, selected the fuel type, opened the fuel valve, turned on the switch, pressed the start button on the key fob, and it started right up after the gas made it to the carberator. The feature I like about the key fob is, when you press the start button for 2 seconds, the starter will crank for about 5 seconds, and if it doesent start, it will stop cranking, then pause for about 5 seconds, then crank over again without re-pressing the button. It will continue the on and off cranking sequence until it starts up. The noise level is tolerable. I havent actually connected it to my incoming power panel yet, but I am anxious to try it out.

I wanted a duel fuel generator

I just received this today. It was an easy setup for the wheels and front foot pads/legs. I'm anxious to get my propane and fresh gas to test it out. I already have my house set up with a transfer switch in case of a prolong power outage.i also am glad it has an electric start as at my age pulling on a cord gets hard.

Built great looking forward to using it !

After the recent hurricane decided to invest in a generator. Did some online research and the Westinghouse name came up the most. From what I've seen this generator should power most if not my whole house. There's a reason these things sell out so fast.

Free upgrade!

After looking for generators for a while I chose to go with a Westinghouse and they have already exceeded my expectations! We went with the 10,500DFC model because of its ability to run our entire house. The generator showed up in perfect condition, but not only that, they sent the tri-fuel version which was an upgrade from the duel-fuel that I originally ordered!! I was very thrilled to see that! What a wonderful gesture by a well known and respected company. Quite a few people in my new neighborhood recommended this generator and now I see why, it is powerful. 5 stars! Thank you Westinghouse!

WGen10500TFc

The best user friendly generator I've EVER purchased. It was so simple to get started, very little assembly. ANYONE could use this generator. I'm so used to all the negatives with getting my old generator started. Westinghouse...you had me at "Push/Remote Button Start". I'm in love!

Great price for trifuel of this size!

I haven't powered this up yet but super excited. I wish the hose came with quick disconnect at both ends. I do not see myself using the remote start and would rather have Westinghouse design it without the remote start. I have heard good things from people with the same generator. Another recommendation for Westinghouse is to update the compatibility information of the accessories like covers etc to include this new model. It will also be nice if they shared part number for third party parts like the spark plug.

Westinghouse - WGen10500TFc

I really like the Tri-fuel option for emergency backup, the handle for mobility, the various output ports, and the included battery trickle charger. While warming up the unit runs very erratically and once warmed up it's still very rough sounding. Filling the deep set oil port is a little messy and the oil plug feels a little cheap as it is soft plastic. The rubber outlet covers are very soft and do not cover the actual outlets very well. I have neither tested this under load yet nor have I tried the other fuels besides liquid gasoline.

That it is a TRI-Fuel generator

Our area has intermitting power outages. I wanted something to take up the lack of power. We have made an initial test, and it runs quiet. Powered everything we needed. Our son was so impressed with this generator, that he is considering purchasing one just like it.
