Reliable and Powerful Home Backup

The Westinghouse inverter generator is a great choice for home backup power. It handles heavy loads efficiently, runs smoothly, and is fuel-efficient for its size. The build quality is solid, and the electric start makes it easy to use. Highly recommended for reliable home power!

Easy Set-Up!

Opening and setting up my Westinghouse inverter generator was a breeze. Yes, Youtube videos help but the instructions that came with it were perfectly well-written and easy to follow: from adding the oil, connecting the battery, and finally starting the generator. There are a lot of instructional warnings and tips and it makes this foolproof! I think I made a great choice. The noise of running it is very acceptable. No hiccups whatsoever, right out of the box!

Igen11000DFc

I just took delivery of an IGen11000DFc which is an upgrade from an IGen4500. The 4500 ran for 10 straight hours last week without any issue and got us through Hurricane Milton. We upgraded only because we needed 240 volt support to run our new septic pump .Everything was very tidy with the new unit. I like the no-screw side panels which easily come off. The oil drain hose was a pleasant surprise as I had added one to my IGen4500. I hooked up the battery, swapped the spark plug for an NGK and I'll add a magnetic drain plug as soon as it comes in the mail. I've been through 2 hours of no load break in without issue followed by an oil change. Tomorrow will be a partially loaded run. After that, I'll test it connected to the house. We added an Easystart on our AC, so I'm interested to see how the Igen works with it. These inverter/generators rock!

Well made and quiet

Bought it yesterday and had no issues assembling it this morning. I appreciated that the necessary tools were included and the instructions were clear. I’m running it at 25% load on propane to break it in, and will vary the load during the first 5 hours as recommended. Right now I’m using a 20-pound propane tank but will later run it off my bulk propane tank. It is quiet relative to the power output though I still plan to use a sound box to reduce the noise further. I have an off-grid cabin that uses a modest photovoltaic system to provide electric power; this generator will serve as a Level 2 electric car charger for trips when we arrive in our all-electric vehicle. So far I am very pleased with this purchase and expect that it will reliably provide the power I need. Once I have a connection to my bulk propane tank the cost to charge my car will be less than the cost to use commercial Level 3 charging stations.

Large and in Charge!

Shipment was great and the item is definitely heavy but to be expected. However with the large no flat wheels and handle it makes it super easy to move around. We haven't hooked it up to the house yet, but packaging and all included accessories were top notch and direction and very easy to follow.

Great so far

I just completed the break in procedure and I am happy with the unit so far. Its very quiet compared to my previous open frame unit from a different company. Assembly was very easy and straightforward. I will say, your oil level will change as you break in the unit and it tavels within the engine. So check and add some more after about running and letting it rest for about 30 minutes or so. The data center is extremely helpful in gauging where you are in terms of power output. Ill update the review and rating once we get the unit run through its paces but I anticipate nothing but good things based on how the initial setup and break-in went.

Looks very good

Bought based upon positive reviews. Expect it to do well, bought largely due to ability to run off propane as well as gasoline. After unboxing and starting to assemble, pit on legs & wheels, found that bolts (2) for wheels not provided. A call to Westinghouse said the product had to be registered before they would provide the missing bolts for the wheels.

must have features at a decent price point

This is an upgrade from my present generator. This Westinghouse iGen11000DFc includes the must haves of: an inverter which makes it safe for many electronics, including tv's computers, refrigerators, and my new heating sys. with smart control board. The dual fuel and the extra wattage is just right for me.

Love the look and low noise

With all the bad weather and losing power 2 times in one month is all it took. The electrician recommended this generator. Very easy to install and to get around. Love the option of being able to use both Propane and gas. Mainly will use propane to keep it cleaner. Not too much time to put together/install. Just the tires, handle, and rubber legs for friction/vibration.

Very Quiet generator

When my 8 y.o. Generac 15,000 KW gen with about 30 hours died right in the middle of a 4 day power loss, I decided to try a different brand. I searched the web and when I saw this 11,000 kw w/ inverter I decided to try it. Igot it all set up and when I started it, I could NOT believe how quiet it is. I have not had to use it yet, but feel it will do a good job. So far I love it.
