- 5 out of 5 stars review12/9/2024Just received the generator. Box in great shape and comes with everything, tools to assemble and maintain, even the oil. Assembled, charged the battery, pushed the button and the generator started right up. Wheels have actual bearings and with the handle, the generator moves easily. Purchased for the large mount of power and invertor for equipment protection. Seems quieter than my last open frame generator.
Lots of great features
JustBoughtOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review10/17/2024I purchased this generator to replace and older open frame 10,000 watt unit and run my house as a backup generator when the power goes out. Does the job well and appears to run my sensitive electronics well also. With the old generator, my Computer UPS would not run and neither would my central air. With this one it runs well.
Great generator to run a house during a blackout
ThomasTrainOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review7/16/2025Just picked up this unit. I was amazed on the packaging. Very well thought out. Very simple to install the necessary parts. I'm running propane primarily. Once I added the oil and turned the motor over several times, the motor started up and the quietness has shocked me. It being a large unit and all. My purchase of this unit is for my 40' 50 amp travel trailer when I'm off the grid.
Just purchased this generator/inverter today
TjremerOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review1/30/2024I have a igen4500 and love it. I was looking to use it to run 2 space heaters and a few snake cages during emergencies. I then realized biggest rule for generators is to make sure you don't get one that has to run at 80-100% of full capacity. Not only does fuel efficiency go way down but so does lifespan and noise level of generator. I debates on another igen4500 and parallel them or a Predator 9500. I watched some videos of parallel generators and even though power is there, noise level is much louder than just one big one. I have close neighbors....not worried about bothering them but letting them/anyone else know that I have one. So far this thing is AWESOME! If you have a igen4500 it is just its big brother. I was very impres...

NolesFinsOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 4 out of 5 stars review2/4/2025We bought this inverter so that when electric power is gone to the house we can receive electric power from the inverter. We would be concern if power is not restored for a long time. I am pleased with the quality of this inverter and will use it for other items needing power.

Robert (Bob) ThomsenOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 4 out of 5 stars review4/29/2025I recent purchased this generator to prepare for hurricane season here in Florida. The dual fuel is a most when the gas stations run dry almost immediately. I purchased several propane tanks for the inevitable fuel shortage and LPG lasts almost forever. This inverter generator is significantly more quiet then my old generator and sends to be slight more fuel efficient so far. I can't speak for it its longevity as I have not had it long or stressed it yet.
So far so good
HappyBodoOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 4 out of 5 stars review11/27/2024I bought the unit for back-up power in the event of a power outage. I have set it up, added oil, and ran for the break-in period. I had an electrician add an female inlet plug, a 50 amp breaker and a generator interlock. So far, so good. I have had no problems as yet.

Finneas9775Originally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review2/7/2025Bought this a few days ago and am very happy with features and support from Westinghouse.I had a few questions before and after the purchase. All concerns were addressed within the same day and to my satisfaction. I started the generator on propane , have not tried gasoline as of yet,but all went flawless. I believe I made a good purchase and I spent many hours on research.

scrrph1982Originally posted onwestinghouse.com - 4 out of 5 stars review9/17/2024Well so far I’m impressed everything looks great and it fired right up the only complaint I have at the moment is I just spent 2k on this generator and I understand that it is an inverter style but I would still like to cover it up with a Westinghouse cover while it’s stored in my garage so that’s the only gripe I have thanks

Rc martinOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review1/20/2025I researched a lot of generators and talked to neighbors and electricians. I also read Consumer Reports which recommended inverter generators as more efficient and quieter. This model is pefect for what we need. Dual fuel, flexible for using different outlets, able to connect to a transfer switch on our breaker panel, lots of safety features, large enough capacity for handling what we need powered, and very good instructions for how to use it.
Perfect for our family
garymacOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review7/4/2024After the last power outage I decided to finally purchase an inverter generator and I'm glad I chose the westinghouse iGen11,000Dfc. It's pretty quiet , holds almost eight gallons of gas, very sturdy and built right and pretty much can power my whole house.
Great Generator
Cesar76Originally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review9/15/2024while it has not been put in use as yet for power failure it is of high quality. It was easy to assemble though I little heavy for me (I am nearly 70) once together it rolls easy. Access to the oil stick was easy and with the included funnel it was no problem filling with the oil. Oil is provided however since it can get quite cold here in Wis I chose to put 5w-30 instead since our temps can get well below zero in winter months and chart recommended that for lower temps. I am having a transfer switch installed to power up my well pump and a few other circuits which this generator should have no problem with its rated 11000 watts. Most household appliances run on gas and do not care to power up AC so this unit will perform great.
Looks good
LafootOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review12/13/2024I kept looking at the different options and decided to go with the Westinghouse iGen11000DFc because of the reviews. And needless to say, it blew my mind! I tried it on with gasoline and propane and am now ready for Florida's next hurricane-season power outages!
iGen11000DFc - WOW, what a beast!
r80barbozaOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 4 out of 5 stars review12/31/2024Bought based upon positive reviews. Expect it to do well, bought largely due to ability to run off propane as well as gasoline. After unboxing and starting to assemble, pit on legs & wheels, found that bolts (2) for wheels not provided. A call to Westinghouse said the product had to be registered before they would provide the missing bolts for the wheels.
Looks very good
philiplcOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review1/8/2025We bought this generator to charge the battery system in our house as we live off the grid. It took care of the job in a timely manner, taking only 2 hours to fill our batteries from 63% to 100%. The Honda generator we had took 3 hours to fill the batteries. We bought a Westinghouse because we borrowed an old beat-up generator to tide us over, and it was a Westinghouse, still going strong after 15 years.
Great Buy
MotherSOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review3/26/2025Preparing for the 2025 hurricane season in Florida. I have 4 other generators that are smaller and one large PTO generator that attaches to my tractor to run the farm operation when the hurricanes blow through. I wanted something for the whole house so I wouldn't have to deal with all the cords and moving things around to keep all the refrigerators going. I also wanted an inverter that provides clean power as the other generators have not been so kind to sensitive electronic equipment. So I installed an interlock on my house panel and bought this Westinghouse inverter and so far I'm very impressed. The build quality looks great and they supplied all the tools to put the wheels, supports and handle. Ten minutes and done. Later this w...
Just put it all together
InverterReviewOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review1/21/2025Opening and setting up my Westinghouse inverter generator was a breeze. Yes, Youtube videos help but the instructions that came with it were perfectly well-written and easy to follow: from adding the oil, connecting the battery, and finally starting the generator. There are a lot of instructional warnings and tips and it makes this foolproof! I think I made a great choice. The noise of running it is very acceptable. No hiccups whatsoever, right out of the box!
Easy Set-Up!
tfausettOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review10/21/2024I bought this to potentially be a whole home backup. The generator was easy to assemble and setup. It started easily with a propane source and I have tested on smaller electrical loads. I look forward to testing on bigger appliances through the electrical wiring in my house in the near future.
Meets Expectations
bob8181Originally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review1/7/2025Wife was worried if she could be able to operate the generator when I wasn't home. Looked into free standing generators that turned on themselves. Then a friend recommended this generator instead which was a huge savings and not as intimidating to my wife. So far we both love it!
Great Generator
GC88Originally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review7/3/2024Really wanted an inverter generator large enough to run my house or most of it. This one was one of the largest with great reviews. Packaging was great and came with all the tools for setup. This generator runs awesome and is very quiet but packs enough power to run everything in my home. My mother purchased one as well after seeing/hearing mine run.
Well built, runs awesome.
