I bought this a month ago for keeping my basement from flooding in the event my sump pump looses power from a outage. I finally had a nice clear day outside and unpacked the inverter. I then followed the easy instructions for first time set up with adding oil and checking things over. I then hooked the unit up to a full propane tank and within 3 pulls it fired up and it ran very well. I was impressed at how quiet it is while running. I followed the break in period instructions and then plugged in a space heater to see how it works. The heater came on and the unit didn't miss a beat. True test will be the next power outage when I need to run my sump pump, refrigerator, and freezer; which this unit is supposed to make enough wattage that I should be able to run all 3 at the same time with no issue. Quick tip, when selecting a generator buy one of the kilowatt gauges that measures starting and running watts of your appliances or items you want to run with the generator. Get a average of each appliance and add them up and then make your generator selection. That is what I did and it worked out well and made my selection easier.

Ran great the first summer it was used however the first use the second year it won't run smoothly. RPM's go up and down. At the end of the first summer the gas was completely drained before storing for the winter. Drained gas again after problem was discovered and filled with new gas-no change Plan on taking it in for a service check to see what the problem is.

Just received the Igen2500, added oil and gas, then went to start it and it started first pull. runs smooth and quiet, then hooked it up to my R-POD with a 13500btu air conditioner, ran a/c no problem, running around 1400-1500 watts steady. tried it on another rv with a different brand a/c same results. Love the LED data display. So far very happy!

After reading other people's reviews about sparkplug problems, I pulled and checked the plug. The insulator of the plug had two large cracks in it. Replaced the plug and ran for four hours, no other problems. Waiting for a call from tech rep to discuss replacing the sparkplug.

This inverter generator is relatively light and easy to use. It stars on the first couple of pulls. The data center provides all the information you want. Voltage, frequency, runtime, fuel level and much more. I can confidently recommend this product!

Purchased for boondocking type camping. The generator is quiet, dependable, and starts with one pull almost every time. It is also very fuel efficient. If I am camping alone, I can run the entire weekend without refueling. (about 8 hrs total run time)

got it, added oil and gas, started first pull ran a 1500 watt space heater in the garage for 3 hours. I overfilled with gas the second tank and it would not run right after reading the manual I noticed the igen2200 has a gas tank vent. I opened the gas cap and ran till gas level was below the red marker put the cap back on and it runs great. A caution not to overfill would be helpful in the instructions

Have not had too long yet but my impression so far is it is going to work perfectly for my needs. I got it as a backup for my solar system on my RV. It is very quiet, simple to use and is very vibration free. If my Lithium battery runs low because of cloudy or rainy weather and the solar will not keep up, this unit charges the battery back up in no time. Also has very complete manual to make things easier. Even has a parts list if something goes wrong in the future.

This is a great generator. I have 2 smaller Westinghouse 2200 watt generators that I purchased 7 and 5 years ago that I use for camping and can run them in parallel they are great and still running strong after a lot of use. This one runs great as well and having the ability to run on either gas or propane is great. I anticipate many years of use.

We ordered this generator in response to storm power outages so that we could run our refrigerator, upright freezer, and some lights in the house. The generator handles these items easily. It is quiet, easy to start, and easy to service (change oil, etc). When the generator arrived it started great and generated electricity as expected, but one of the LED indicators was not working. I called Westinghouse and they were very responsive. They immediately sent me a new generator and also sent me a shipping label to ship the other one back. I am impressed with the performance of this generator...and it was only 40% of the cost of Honda!
