Much Better than I expected!

I got this for the dual fuel feature and it's perfect for my 30 amp RV. I can run my 15,000 max air conditioner with with the 1700 available watts on propane, (with the soft start I installed previously). Well worth the money! Now I have to sell my VERY heavy - BIGGER, open frame LOUD Champion.

love how quiet it is and the fuel range

I've been meaning to buy a new generator for a while. I love that its quieter than the traditional generator and that it uses less fuel with the eco mode. Another plus is that I can move this generator whereas I struggled with our old Honda one because it was so heavy.

Very Satisfied...

Totally new to inverter generators...needed a generator to power our home oil furnace in case of a long power outage...after a long time taking to research what to buy...the Westinghouse iGen2550C was our number 1 choice. As we write this review, and having used only a few times the unit our first impression is an Aplus (satisfied)...the unit is lightweight 40Lbs, easy to operate, one pull gets it started and is extremely quiet. No regrets at all.

High Altitude Power Man
5 out of 5 stars review

Powerful, but Quiet

I purchased this generator specifically because of it's higher than competition wattage range (for generators in the same class/style). The reason I need the higher wattage is because I have a camp set up at 2,800' above sea level, but I also want to use it at home which is about 600' above sea level. Each manufacturer (including Honda and Yamaha) indicate the percentage of power loss for each 1000' of elevation gain. Some manufacturers account for this by requiring that the end-user take the generator to an authorized dealer for a "carburetor adjustment kit" which changes the operation so that the generator only runs at high altitude. That power loss would not allow me to run all the items I want at my camp and the carb kit wouldn't let me run the generator at home. I simply needed a bigger generator and didn't want to move up to 3100W for portability and cost reasons. This generator's wattage size is perfect for me. I followed the instructions for filling the oil and gas with no problem. I could have started the generator on the first pull but decided to give a couple of rotations to work the new oil throughout the motor. I held off on the second pull, but nearly started the machine again. I only pulled a little bit on the third pull and it fired right up. I have heard the Hondas and the Yamahas in person, and they are quiet. But in my estimation, this unit is just as quiet in idle/power-saver mode. The generator obviously gets louder when drawing more current. I tested the power capacity with a 13A/120v benchtop table saw with an induction motor; generator had no problem starting and running the saw even when I made some demanding cuts. At full power, the saw was much louder than the generator. For me, the 2200/2500W is a requirement that no other manufacturer can meet in this machine class/type. I was pleasantly surprised how quiet it is. Finally, the price-point on this amount of wattage and portability was also a factor.

Perfect for Hurricane Maria, Quite Satisfied,

Generator was delivered today. Ran it in for 30 minutes to check operation. Operated flawlessly. Ran my table saw - it used 25% of the generator's capacity. The LED info panel is great! It's good to have that information. Let it run out of fuel and drained the carb float bowl - the drain valve and hose are a really nice touch. This is our hurricane generator. Hopefully, we'll never need it again.

Lots of features not included on other brands

I did the break in procedure with no issues. Lots of features that are not included on other brands at the same price point, like fuel level, and run time remaining. Seems to make good stable power. Lightweight, easy to pack around, and very quiet at low power output, but it does get louder if you load it up.

Very reliable and affordable generator

I bought the iGen2500 generator almost 5 months ago and I am very happy with it so far. I have been using it at least 2 times per month during our camping trips, I used it while beach camping 2 weekends ago and it ran almost 48 hours continuously, only stopping to refuel, it was perfect, 1 full tank lasted 8-10 hours at night, depending on the load (my daughters like to watch a lot of movies at night). I have to say it is very quiet (something I was worry about) even at 80% output. I like the led data center display very much, can check remaining run time, power output, fuel level and voltage very quick. I am planning to buy a second one to run parallel for my AC during summer. Overall I think this is a great generator. Will update later if any issues.

Very Easy to Start/User Friendly

This generator is very easy to start and it seems like it will be able to handle anything our T@G teardrop trailer can throw at it. Very quiet and easy to operate! Hard to get my hand into the area where the spark plug is, but that's not too big of a problem.

Outstanding Performance and Reliability!

I recently purchased the Westinghouse iGen2550 inverter generator and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. From the moment I unboxed it, the quality and attention to detail were evident. Setting it up was a breeze, and the instructions were incredibly straightforward. The iGen2550 runs extremely quietly, which is a big plus for me as I often use it in residential areas. I was impressed by its fuel efficiency and long run-time; it’s clearly designed for convenience and sustainability. The built-in USB ports and multiple outlets also make it incredibly versatile for all my powering needs. I’ve had to use it during several power outages already, and it has performed flawlessly each time, giving me peace of mind. I would highly recommend the Westinghouse iGen2550 to anyone in need of a reliable, efficient, and quiet power source. It’s truly a game-changer!” Feel free to use or modify this review as you see fit.

Excellent for Basic Home Backup

I bought this a month ago in preparation for this years hurricane season. Last year I was without power for 1 week and did not want to go through that again. I tested it out on everything I need including portable AC, Refrigerator and small electronics. Nice and quiet with low fuel usage on gasoline.
