Bought this unit the other day after owning a GE microwave in the past. First off, the microwave is described as being stainless steel. The only part of the unit that is stainless is the front bezel. Other than that the unit is black paint. The door button couldn't be any flimsier and the childproof latch is a joke. Thank goodness you can disable that feature. The drive mechanism for the rotating plate relies totally on a poorly designed wishbone shaped wheel device. It already slips and barely circulates the plate. Can't imagine the plate being able to turn at all if you're defrosting a frozen roast or turkey breast. All in all, I'm not impressed in the slightest with this GE microwave.

This is the second GE microwave we have places in our home. The first unit stopped working after about 4 years. Not what I expected from GE. The only reason I am replacing with same unit is because we had it installed with the in cabinet trim kit. Didn’t want to be purchase a new trim kit as well. Hoping that this unit has some longevity.

Our last microwave lasted almost 20 years and was this model. We never had any issues with it- and it lasted a long time. The old one was still working, just old and rusting. This was a perfect replacement- it fit perfectly in the wall using the builder covers. So far, so good. Easy to use- has everything we need.

My husband & I have been using our new microwave oven at least twice a day ~ usually more ~ and are feeling comfortable with it. I'm almost ready to try cooking a whole meal. We bought a GE microwave oven ~ our first ~ 42 years ago. It got a lot of use ~ and was still working perfectly, with only the bulb needing replacement. I was reluctant to let it go ~ it served us so well. But we decided to get a new one anyway, for updated features. And we are enjoying the handy features our old one didn't have. This is the largest interior we have ever had in a microwave. I’ve had one that was 2.2 but the interior was not this big. Without a doubt I can cook a turkey in this! Over all easy to use & if I had any negative it’s the cheesy looking shiny stainless on the door. Highly recommend.

We love this microwave! All of the settings are accurate, for example, potato and popcorn settings! It’s easy enough that are too kids can use it. We loved it so much. We bought the exact same model when the other ones stopped working after about five years. I also find it very easy to clean and wipe down.

Love the product ,this is the second identical one I had before. The only difference is the child proof lock was added,which I don't like it's so hard for an elderly person to push the button at the same time.I wish there was a way to override it. That's the only complaint I have!

This is the third or fourth GE microwave of this model I have owned. They give good service and heat food well. They are a bargain for the price. I like the turntable feature as it provides all-around heating with no missed spots. This product is a workhorse.
