This is overpriced because of the name. If you ever wanted to Google it you'll say that it is one of the products that rely on its old-fashioned name and has tons of additives. It does not in any way shape or form resemble sourdough bread. It might have some sourdough starter in it but that is it. I will not be buying this again

Mild, sturdy, sourdough sandwich bread

Nice size slices that are not too soft. Can support a sturdy sandwich, and make delicious toast or grilled sandwiches. The flavor is pleasant and mild. After opening has a nice shelf life. Cost Tends to run a little more than other white breads, but you are getting more for your money as the slices are larger and more dense.

Good

I like that it comes double wrapped with a seal inside. There's a decent amount of preservatives so the bread doesn't go bad as quickly as regular sourdough breads do, however the downside is that it has less sourdough flavor and texture, it feels basically like eating regular white bread.

NOT REAL SOURDOUGH!

This is not real sourdough bread. Real sourdough is made by a fermenting process, not just adding citric acid and lactic acid plus a bunch of unnecessary sweetener to the mix. This was heavy dough in thick slices rather than real sourdough which is light and airy with a nice rounded taste. This leaves a very unpleasant and bitingly sour sensation at the back of your tongue. There is no saving this which will go in the trash. Great Value Italian bread at $1.00 was tons better than this nearly $4 junk.

Soft but Hearty Sourdough with Amazing Flavor

This sourdough loaf has a great balance of tanginess and softness. It holds up well for grilled cheese, deli sandwiches, and toast. The slices are thick and have that bakery-style chew. Pros: Great flavor, sturdy slices Cons: Loaf goes fast because everyone eats it

A little bit too good

Yes I have been on a sourdough bread kick, and let me tell you, grilled cheese with Swiss, and pepper jack cheese with a little bit of butter in the middle, and some ranch dipping sauce, yes to good, but it has the right texture for a grilled cheese sandwich,

Tasty sliced sourdough

I was looking for a decent sliced sourdough and started by looking for bread baked on-premises. A lack of good choices caused me to check the loaves produced by known companies, and Pepperidge Farm proved to be a good choice. In addition to be a good value for the price, the bread tastes very good. It has a relatively dense texture (fine with me). The slices are a little too wide for my toaster, so I put a couple slices in my microwave for 30 seconds to warm it up. Great for sandwiches, or just on its own with a bit of butter.
