I had heard about Saturday bread all my life and finally just had to have a taste of it. I fell madly in love with this friend The Taste is so good and the texture is so soft and it's so nice that I even eat the crust where I normally cut the crust off of the other bread and throw it away. yes I would highly recommend this spread to anybody

I like sourdough bread but I am lazy now. I remember making it in college and it didn't seem like a hassle. The recipes now seem frighteningly complicated and time consuming. Buying a good size loaf, with good texture and taste, is so much easier. I am really impressed with this bread

For 73 years I never knew anything about Sourdough Bread! 4 years ago I was given Medically Induced IBS! NOW, Pepperidge Farmhouse Sourdough Bread is the only bread I can eat! Sure, there are gluten free breads but they are small loaves and smaller slices! Pepperidge Farmhouse Sourdough Bread has wide slices of bread, had to get a new toaster to be able to toast them! This bread is so good toasted with nothing at all on it, just toasted bread! I get a craving for a slice of sourdough toast that's why I always get the Pepperidge brand! Sometimes I will put a couple of slices of Avocado on my hot toast and you can't imagine how good that is! So many flavors all at once! I highly recommend this bread even if you don't have IBS! Really tastes good and it is better for you than wheat bread. The gluten in wheat can make you have IBS too!

Yes I have been on a sourdough bread kick, and let me tell you,grilled cheese with Swiss, and pepper jack cheese with a little bit of butter in the middle, and some ranch dipping sauce,yes to good,but it has the right texture for a grilled cheese sandwich,

Nice size slices that are not too soft. Can support a sturdy sandwich, and make delicious toast or grilled sandwiches. The flavor is pleasant and mild. After opening has a nice shelf life. Cost Tends to run a little more than other white breads, but you are getting more for your money as the slices are larger and more dense.

Pepperidge Farm Farmhouse Sourdough Bread, 24 oz Loaf is almost 5 stars. I'd like it if there were 1/4 stars then it would get 4 %26 3/4 stars so I rounded up to 5. The bread tastes fresh, makes awesome French Toast, and it doesn't mold by the time me and my mom polish it off which is usually a week. I would definitely recommend this sour dough bread because it is amazing just like I feel with all of the Pepperidge Farm bakery items I have ever purchased!

So this is the closest thing to homemade sourdough bread I have ever found. It's always fresh. It always tastes great and it is great value for the money.

Last year I had to go on a low fiber diet for about 6 weeks, which took my staple of whole wheat bread and other whole wheat products off my menu. I went on the web to search for alternatives low fiber and low in gas, and found out that Sourdough products fit my restricted diet perfectly. Sourdough is cooked in a way that takes the compounds out of the bread that cause gas, and it also takes the fiber out. I'm single so I have to keep my bread products wrapped up in plastic bags in the refrigerator to prevent it from getting moldy. Sourdough bread stays moist in the fridge longer than other types of bread. I use it plain, or with butter or olive oil and Parmesan cheese, in sandwiches, or toasted. I've also torn the slices into pieces and mixed it in to soup. Sourdough is my primary bread type now. I hardly ever use whole wheat bread anymore.

I like that it comes double wrapped with a seal inside. There's a decent amount of preservatives so the bread doesn't go bad as quickly as regular sourdough breads do, however the downside is that it has less sourdough flavor and texture, it feels basically like eating regular white bread.

This is overpriced because of the name. If you ever wanted to Google it you'll say that it is one of the products that rely on its old-fashioned name and has tons of additives. It does not in any way shape or form resemble sourdough bread. It might have some sourdough starter in it but that is it. I will not be buying this again
