Capable Monster

Used for a three day power outage in a large all electric house. Generator kept shutting down the first night, so I changed the oil guessing that may be the problem. After that, performed flawlessly. Very heavy unit, but was able to unpack and set up alone using ramps to get it off the packaging base.

Well built & gets the job done with no issues

Bought this a few weeks ago to build metal horse fencing for a pen and paddocks on 22 acres. The remote start is an excellent feature. We had a great deal of fencing and fuel economy was very good. We have no trouble using the generator to power the fridge and the rest of our home whilst completing our build and waiting for the electricity. Completely recommend.

Incredible Value for backup power

Shipping was handled really well through the R&L carrier. They pretty much got it into my shop with an electric pallet jack. The pallet design is pretty solid considering it was incredible tough getting it off before assembly. Which is good cause, you know it's not moving around much and can trust outside cardboard to ensure undamaged delivery. Incredibly easy to assemble and get running off propane as well. Couldn't be happier with the purchase. I may order a trifuel from you guys after summer as well

Follow up

Re 12000DF. Logic doesn't seem to be a strong suit at Westinghouse. They require altitude adjustment above 2000' to gas regulator but fail to provide settings to accomplish this. Also, as a whole house 24/7/365 generator, surprising the “battery switch” must remain on. However this drains the battery! Why deliver a remote start fob if you must go out to the machine to start it? A workaround is to wire in a 110v outlet near the generator to trickle charge the battery with the included 12v charger. Added expense. ☹️ On the brighter side, the unit ran my well pump, fridge, freezer, elec. dryer, microwave, misc lights and tv. It browned out when I added the toaster. Pretty good. Also, upper end operating temperature is sorely limited to 105 degrees. This is too low. If ambient temp is 100 and the generator is in a well ventilated shed, it might shut off when it is needed. California people pay heed, as this may not be the right unit for you, hot winds and blackouts. Other than running tests, I have not had to use the generator yet under a power outage.

Very reliable generator

I bought this generator last year when we lost power and did not need it until the other day when we lost power again (12 months later.) It took me 15 minutes to unbox and set the generator up and it fired right up! Worked great, powered my fridge, freezer, lights and a fan for 8 hours until the power came back on. Definitely worth it.

Great generator with all the features you need!

After some severe weather where we lost power all day it was time to purchase a generator. Wanted the natural gas option as I'm lucky enough to have a line ran outside off my deck. Package showed up on time in great condition. Set up is simple and this generator comes with every thing you need , even the natural gas line! For the price and ease of use I would definitely recommend. Little heavy(to be expected for its size) has wheels to roll and 2 adults would have no problem lifting this into a truck if needed to move from one site to the next. Im OK with it as I don't plan to move it much once it's in place just needed a big enough generator to power the house in case we have an outage again.

Great for working from home

Bought this summer of 2020 when we experienced more frequent power outages than normal. Working from home, we can't have power interruptions. This was easy to assemble and start up. Love the dual fuel option, though mostly using propane right now. Used initially with extension cords. Good line noise suppression to prevent damage to electronics. Have since bought a cord to plug directly into whole-house generator switch.

Great features

This is the second Westinghouse generator I have purchased this month. The dual fuel capability for monthly exercise of the engine was a key feature as well as the low THD. I have owner Generac and a variety of box brands and the workmanship and features for the price make them a high value purchase.

Great generator

We just received this item and it's a BEAST! We often get power outages in our part of California(thanks PGE). We wanted a bigger generator to run our AC in the summer during these outages. Can't wait to get it set up and see how it handles the power we need!

Scotty, more power.

I had a smaller generator that could only provide me with 220/30 service (5700 watts). It would run everything but my A/C and hot water tank. I purchased this one so I could have 50amp/220 service and run everything in my house. I was amazed at all the features it had. Easy to set up and had running in just a few minutes. Really like the volt/amp/warning meter. The electric start is a big plus because at 73, I'm not a big fan of pull starting! Will be looking forward to testing it.
