Bought this generator and could not be happier. The dual fuel option is great for when you might not be able to get one or the other. Hooked it into a 100LB portable propane tank. It runs my whole house with (2) 3.5 ton central AC Units. Very impressed with the unit and its power. Only issue is its been difficult to get parts like oil filters or air filters. I like to keep these on hand should it be needed for long times.

I have the baby brother WGen9500DF and loved it to provide power to my house but moved into a larger home and it was not quite large enough to handle the load. I decided to get this monster to do the job. I have yet to connect it to my house but love all of the features and some new ones my old generator didnt have. Power outages happen especially in Texas but I won't have a problem keeping the heat or AC on!

Overall this is a great unit. I also own a Generac GP15000E. All things being equal, I think the Generac is better built and will most likely have a longer life. However, this unit has dual fuel capability, smart switch technology, remote start, and a battery charger. All are the reasons, I went with this unit, and I'm not disappointed.

The WG12000DF generator is powerful. It does what it says it can do. It powers up everything in my house. I can run one A/C unit at a time with it. It's easy to set up and run once its outside the box it came in. I just followed the quick start up guide. It's easy to move around with the included handlebars. The no run-flat tires are sturdy and strong enough to hold the heavy side of the generator. I especially like the remote start feature. However, I would have tweaked a few minor areas that I saw could've been improved. I would've liked to see the 50 amp outlet moved away from the wheel area. I had a difficult time connecting my 50 amp cord to that outlet. The generator is noisy, and some kind of sound muffler would have been helpful to have on it. The oil dipstick could have had a min and max label put on it. An oil indicator level on the outside (similar to the gasoline indicator level) would also have been good to have. Exposed outside metal surfaces can get hot to the touch. An extra layer of heat resistant foam should've been placed on those areas as an extra layer of safety. Other than these minor issues, the generator is great!

This portable generator is everything the description says it is. It runs our 2000sq ft home with no problem. It doesn't drag when our air conditioner kicks on, it's tough. It will definitely serve it's purpose during hurricane season in SWLA!! Plenty of outlets for extra plug-ins. It is surprisingly quiet for as big as it is. We have no complaints and are super happy with our purchase. Pretty sure we will be putting it to the ultimate test during hurricane season. I have no worries, it's going to provide the power to my home and then some. Thank you Westinghouse!!

Used for a three day power outage in a large all electric house. Generator kept shutting down the first night, so I changed the oil guessing that may be the problem. After that, performed flawlessly. Very heavy unit, but was able to unpack and set up alone using ramps to get it off the packaging base.

I bought this Generator for a back up to supply power to my Solar Panel array in the Winter Months. Main reason is dual fuel. I like the flexibility. However, the 2 110v receptacles have GFCI curcuits and they do not work properly. Always shutting off. Need to get them replaced with normal duplex outlets.

Purchased a few weeks ago and delivered in perfect condition by FedEx Freight this last week. Like the quality of parts/assembly and extra features in the design. Started first time on propane. Have not used (yet) with gas. Modified the gas dual carburators with new altitude kit #140574, 2 ea. "C" jets for 5k-6k ft. Not the easiest job, but ok with my knowledge (no instructions with kit). Note: Current manual lists wrong kit, not for this larger 713cc engine. Call into Westinghouse to let me know correct high altitude propane kit. Also wrong LP kit listed online. Overall very happy with purchase price and quality. Hopefull documenation for this newer, larger generator will improve soon.

Purpose of Purchase: Bought this generator to power my food truck during service and as a backup power source for my home during outages. Upgrade Justification: I upgraded from an 8kW generator, which required refueling during long events (e.g., 12-hour shifts). Refueling meant pausing service—even with a line of customers—just to add gas. That’s no longer an issue. Performance: This generator ran for a full 12-hour period on a single tank of gas without needing a refill. That’s a huge plus and a game changer for continuous service. 🔑 Key Notes & Considerations: CO2 Sensor Issue: The generator shut off three times while running in an open field. The lights indicated a CO2 sensor error. I solved this by placing a fan near it to keep air circulating—worked like a charm. Unsure why it triggered in open air, but something to watch for. Battery Management: After my first test run, I forgot to turn off the battery switch. Several hours later, I noticed a light still on. Unfortunately, the battery drained completely and now won’t recharge. Major downside: If the battery dies, there’s no manual recoil option to start the generator. Jumper cables from your car or a power pack will resolve this issue. ✅ Pros: Long runtime (12+ hours) on a single tank Powerful enough for food truck and emergency home use Smooth, quiet operation Moderate noise ❌ Cons: Sensitive CO2 sensor (may require extra airflow) No backup manual start option Battery can die easily if left on and won’t recharge

We kept losing our electricity more than usual this past winter. Wanted a reliable source for backup. We own several physically challenged equipment. Such as power chair, sit to stand lift, and power recliner. The generator became an absolute necessity.
