Just took delivery of this behemoth and have not had the opportunity to fire it up but it is a beast! I am sure it will keep our home powered through future hurricanes. We just went through 5 days without power due to hurricane Beryl with a smaller generator that just provided basics. We are looking forward to having AC during the next outage!

Carbon monoxide sensor renders the unit almost unusable. Any running engine will emit carbon monoxide. As soon as the sensor recognizes any amount within inches of the unit, your out of business. Mandatory disablement. Totally absurd that the fuel system cannot be drained. I would really like to know why Westinghouse would intentionally ignore such an important factor. The unit was designed to accept a convenient trickle charge, but for some reason, there is no explanation of how to use it. The overall unit has a lot of fantastic engineering design, but lacks on a few of the obvious.

We ordered this online, and were very pleased with how quickly it was delivered! There are several features that we really like, including Dual Fuel and Remote Start. Also has 713 cc V-twin OHV 4-stroke engine, overload protection, and multiple hookups from 50 amp to usb ports. The handles and wheels make it portable. Plus there's also a lifting bracket.

Although I purchased it on July 1st 2021 I did not pick it up until July 21st 2021. They did not have it in the store and had to order it. It's sat in a box for over a year until the hurricane was probably coming this way. That's when I realized that did carburetor was not working. I've tried everything I was instructed to do and I still cannot get it to work off gasoline so that's why I am asking to have a new carburetor sent to me. It will only work off propane thank God Ian did not come this way because I could not have afforded that much propane

I bought this generator for home use when the power goes out. I replaced an extended life generator from another brand that finally died during the power outage we just had here in AL. I shopped for several days to find an extended life dual fuel generator with a pressurized oil lubrication system and filter. I could not locate one and finally decided to purchase this generator for its features, less than 5% THD, and run time. Nowhere in the description for this generator, nor in any of the photos, does it indicate that this generator has pressurized oil lubrication. When it arrived yesterday we were amazed and absolutely thrilled that it has this feature. If this is emphasized in the advertisements and description Westinghouse would probably sell a lot more of these generators. We prepped it and then started it inside a metal storage building. Yes we know that we should have been outside. We were surprised and impressed that it was so quiet that we could actually talk to each other beside the generator in a metal building. We were impressed that the muffler was so large. Really happy with our purchase.

I purchased this generator to replace my Dayna generator 4400 watt 9000 surge. This is a much needed upgrade I have been putting off for a while. I've only ran it for a hour to break it in. I had a 6 horsepower compressor running and it didn't phase the generator but I hooked it up to my old generator and it pulled it down. It will be a big difference the next power outage we have.

I needed something big for powering ac/heat just in case ! This unit arrived unmolested by transport. I am impressed by the completely clear and concise manual along with all the features on the generator. Followed the step by step instructions and the unit fired right up. Ran it for 20 min. to break in which I will repeat 3 or 4 times before serious use !

As many have said, you have to be thoughtful in how you uncrated because of its weight. I used a set of ramps and a floor jack and was able to get it off the pallet without issue. Easy to follow instructions, and it fired right up. so far, I have only tested it with small electrical appliances, as I have an electrician coming later this week to set me up to run the house. Be sure to check the GFI trip in the outlets, mine were tripped from the factory. The build quality and aesthetics are great! It is as loud as you would expect a V-twin engine to be.

Very pleased with my purchase of the Westinghouse Model Wgen9500DF Generator! Starts right up and runs great on either gas or propane with plenty of power for important appliances, furnace, AC units along with TV, radio to keep up to date on information if needed! Has 50Amp plug for the high amp use too. Start or stop with remote from even inside the house. I recommend this unit!

The registration WEB page asked me to give a review. I went to Bolton, Ontario to pickup my generator. I returned to Quebec without any problem. The WGen20000 is very heavy, with 580 pounds. The packaging is well done to protect it from scratches and debris on the road. It seems to be of good construction and placed on a very resistant steel frame with a good coat of resistant paint. In a month or two, I will be ready to make a review, when i will start the generator. I bought a Generac 200 Amp, Automatic Transfer Switch to use all the power from this 28000 Watt in peak power. I just ordered a Remote Monitor ATS Amf Generator Controller to monitor electric outage from Hydro-Quebec. It was more easy to install for whole house and more practical when I'm away. With this new controller, i will install all the sensors i need, to monitor this air cooled gas engine. I will see the engine temperature on each cylinder, the oil pressure, oil temperature, Engine revolution (RPM), Battery voltage, Alternator amperage, Hour meter for each electric outage, Oil change monitoring and some other engine failures ​
