I received this generator today, and put it together quite easily. The battery is in a slightly inconvenient location, but it's not the worst I've ever worked on (that would be upside down in a submarine engine room bilge). You don't have to completely remove the battery to hook it up, just lift straight up and slide to the right to reach the terminal.

I bought 12000 DF last week got it delivered 5 days earlier than expected which was a bonus. It took all of ten minutes to put the wheels and feet pegs on plus the oil. Once that was done it was time to put some gas in the tank and fired right up. Have not tried propane run yet as I don't have any yet. Would highly recommend this generator.

After waiting for over a year for the WGen12000DF units to be available, I was finally able to purchase one in June of 2021. The unit was very well packaged and arrived with no damage. It started right up on propane. The regulators built into the generator frame are designed to operate on low pressure LPG (propane) at 10-14 inches water column, or high pressure LPG right from a propane bottle or home supply tank. This set-up provides ideal flexibility. I haven't yet connected the unit to my house, but I have no doubt that it will perform as expected.

Needed a new generator and after my research, this is the one I felt matched my needs. First impression is that it's well built. Heavy but it won't move very far as it's for my house. First nights run was flawless. You'll get about 10hrs our of a tank of gas. I haven't ran it on propane yet. Many features that I like, some I don't need. Set up was a breeze. I'm pleased with my purchase so far.

I bought this generator to run my house and central a/c as a backup. The features that I like the most is duel fuel on it, so that if gasoline gets in to high demand I can switch and run it on propane plus you'll never have to clean the carb if using propane only, super nice generator for the price.

With a capacity of 14.5 kW, it can comfortably supply power to essential household appliances, HVAC systems, and even several heavy-duty loads simultaneously. I am confident this gen will provide ample power during outages. I have only ran it on gasoline so far and it has been very efficient.

So far so good! I hooked up my home to this generator for emergencies. It seems to have no problem running everything in our home and swimming pool pumps - excluding our A/C and heater. We have a 4,300 sf home. The pool pumps are important in the event of a freeze - they keep the pipes from freezing and busting. I feel much better having this generator in place!!

This unit replaced a smaller 7500W Westinghouse generator which was gas only. Convenience of having dual fuel and low THD (cleaner power over the last unit) was the selling point. The additional power capability over the last unit. The only drawbacks are this unit is slightly louder than the 7500W and twice the weight. The WGEN12000DF has the “Smart Idle” feature the can be turned on/off via a switch on the control panel. Tested this out at no load condition, and it significantly reduces the engine RPM, in turn reducing the noise. The documentation and online photos have no mention of this added feature, which I would assume might be a newer feature for the 2021+ models.

It took to long to arrive, almost a year, but it works amazing, its very powerful. Mine was leaking some oil after couple of hours working but we are going to take it to a certified place to check it out. besides that everything else works fine. And I also like that its very easy to use.

Use this generator to charge my batteries due to being off grid. Could barely tell the engine was charging (no bogging down). My only complaint was that it came with negative battery cable disconnected. I understand why, but it was not noted on the quick start guide.
