My opinion - Dawn is the best and this is the way to buy it. I have the pump that comes with the Dawn in this size bottle in the club so we keep this under the sink and fill and use a small bottle on the counter top here in the apartment. In our other (main) home, we have one of those through the counter top pump and bottle things and use that in the same manner when we’re there. I personally like the small bottle method - wife likes her counter top pump - I digress :-) I think one thing I most like about buying the bigger commercial size bottle (besides the price advantage) is that I don’t have to buy dish soap every fifteen minutes and we’re never out. Also, if there’s a little left in the bottle in the house when I put the new one where it goes, I take the older one to the shop/garage and fill it with water - sometimes a few times - and use the pump from a prior purchase to pump out soapy water for hand washing or bbq grill cleaning or what ever. It’s not like I think I’m the only guy that can think of this stuff but it is what works for me and why I buy “the big Dawn”. Besides, you never know when there’s going to be a petroleum spill disaster and I have to give a poor little duck baby a bath or save an unfortunate Brown Pelican or an otter! Can’t be too prepared for the contingencies! Aahahaha...

I had to wash my dishes twice some 3 times, I thought I bought a different brand by mistake, but nope, the galon says Dawn. They have a new formula, it is no longer poten. You will need a lot more soap than before.That will be my last time purchasing it.

I purchased this from SAMs because the other dawns that you get from the stores seem to not work as good, so I thought I would give this a try since it said professional. Wow! What a great choice. We have five kids ages 4-18 and we are constantly washing pots, and dishes. I purchased this in February and I am posting this review in July and we still have a little left so it lasted about five months and we sometimes wash dishes twice a day. #bestproductever

This is the perfect bottle, with the pump, to make refilling all other bottles super easy! Great size & it's Dawn, so you know you're getting a great product. The pump that comes with the bottle always works flawlessly, & makes refills a breeze! In order to get the pump you must grab the bottle in store. It's usually with the car section & not in the cleaning section like you would think.

I have used Dawn for years. Always trusted it would get grease off anything I needed cleaned. I wanted the big jug so I didn't have to buy it as often, and I could repurpose the jug. Seemed like a win win. First bottle I filled was the thick Dawn I was use to. As the jug emptied, the soap seemed to get thinner and less effective. I was using more than ever just to get suds in my dish water. Plastic bowls held onto their grease unless I squirted more into each bowl. Yesterday was the last straw. I cooked a Boston butt in my crockpot. My bowls I used when shredding had to be washed 3 separate times in scalding hot water just to degrease them. I was putting my crockpot away after it dried and I had a ring of white grease around the lid. It had also been scrubbed 3 times. I was livid. I don't know what happened to a cleaner I use to swear by, but I won't be fooled again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a HUGE jug of dawn dish soap. Its specifically a commercial grade pot and Pan soap. I used it on my pots and pans and it worked great. I used it by allowing pots to soak with hot water and the soap, and also by just using the soap straight to pot than scrubbing. Both ways broke down everything in the pots and pans very well. I like the regular dawn soap for pots and pans but I try using it sparingly in order to not use half the bottle. With this gallon jug, I used a larger amount of soap and it definitely worked faster and easier. The pump itself is huge, I tried filling an empty small bottle of dawn with the bigger bottle and it filled with 1 full pumps. If you use a lot of dishsoap, this gallon jug would be a great investment.

You know how like when you cook spaghetti and there is a film left on your dishes? Well this specific dawn dish soap works phenomenally at getting that film off and making your dishes get squeaky clean. I have never really used a dish soap that actually worked as good as this one does. You don't need a lot either because this is two times the strength of normal dawn. A little goes a very long way. It's soft on hands as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First and foremost: We own a cake/ dessert shop where we use A LOT of butter and make A LOT of buttercream. We've struggled in the past to find a “good enough” dish soap that doesn't leave a greasy residue on our dishes but THIS is definitely the one! Love the pump and size of the bottle specially in a commercial shop. Oh and the bowl in the pictures with buttercream was cleaned by swishing it it in warm soap water; literally no scrubbing needed!!! I can't ever get another soap, I'm that impressed!!
