We have tried everything with our great Dane who is a notoriously picky eater, he hated royal canin, he hated blue, he hated almost everything we tried. We finally tried iams and he absolutely loves it. He's happy I'm happy and now we have a food that he not only eats but looks forward to eating. Iams customer for life. Even switched my cat to iams

They usually wait hours before they eat dog food, to see if you will add anything to make it taste better. As soon as we tried Iams ProActive Health, which is filled with chicken, they immediately scarfed their food down. I was shocked at how much they enjoyed the taste without us having to add anything to it! It contains everything to keep them healthy and I am glad we finally found something they actually enjoy!

I love that Iams ProActive Health dog foods main ingredient is chicken. So does Chloe! Since Chloe is an older dog (11 years old) and a large breed dog, it's important that we feed her food that will help her stay strong. So it's good to know that each serving is filled with essential nutrients and prebiotics. Chloe has been through two ACL repairs so it's also important that Iams supports healthy joints. Chloe is always waiting, not so patiently, for us to put her food down so she clearly enjoys it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not able to fully give my opinion on this dog food because sadly my dog, Budha, passed away on July 16th so he only got to try the dog food for about a week. I will give my opinion on that time that he tried the food. Thankfully my pup is not very picky with trying new foods so when I put it in his bowl instead of his regular food. He chomped it up drank some water and then went to go play outside like he normally does. When I looked at the ingredient list I liked that the first thing listed was chicken. Sadly it does have some chicken-by-product in it which is unfortunate, but I decided I'd continue on trying it out. I liked the size of the dry food, they were nice big "chunks' perfect for my dog. They were crunchy and a bit hard, I would have liked them to be a little softer. It wasn't that much of a big deal though, just a preference. The smell of the food was fine, no weird smells. I can't really say if it made a difference in his overall health because he passed away so quickly. My dog was actually 13yrs old and not 1-5yrs that the food was made for. I think it got mixed up with my other dog which is 2yrs old, but is a chihuahua that's only 14lbs. I'm sure though he would have benefited from the extra protein and minerals that are in the dog food. I included a photo of Budha relaxing on my bed from months ago that I took. I regret I didn't have a chance to take photos of him closer to the end of his life. With the leftover food I donated it to a non-profit pet adoption organization so some other dog could benefit from it.

I was very hesitant to give him this dog food as I haven’t given him dry food in a long time. Well, I decided to give this food a try and was surprised to see that he didn’t react badly too it. I’ve been giving it to him for over a week now and he’s been loving it. So as long as he can tolerate it, I’ll be including it into his diet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When it's feeding time and the Iams bag is opening, Brownie comes running. She knows what's in there and can't wait to eat. I mixed it with her regular dog food and she picked out the Iams to eat. Brownie carries a mouthful of food from the kitchen to the dinning room and to the living room to show us what she is eating. Then she goes back for more dropping pieces along the way. She eats the pieces she dropped and gets more and does it till the Iams is good as gone. Good food for healthy joints, bones muscles and metabolism. No fillers in this dogfood giving dogs more energy to run/walk and play! Brownie loves chicken and this bag has chicken listed at the 1st ingredient. Your dog will not be disappointed. Less pottytime when the meal is real food and not processed. Let your dog try Iams in the green bag and see if it's good as gone!

She eats it but not all in one sitting like usual with other iams blends or other foods. I love iams nutrition value and think it is great for our dog. we will keep feeding her it and she if this picks up and she likes it more. It is a graet source of nutrients which when she does eat it give her good energy. we will keep eating it and she if anything changes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So before trying Iams, I had my German shepherd on trail mix.. She was on this product for a while, but had always had lose bowel movements. After repeatedly going to the vet and running tests on her, they said to get her the adult mix instead of puppy which she was about 7 months old. After changing her from the puppy to adult, it didn't seem to help her, I felt terrible for her. Then I got to try the Iams larger breed. I am sooo pleased with this brand, after a week on the new food she has finally stopped having lose bowel movements, and she seems to be finally gaining alot more weight, She had always seemed so skinny when she was on her old food. I am so happy to finally see my furry friend be so happy and energetic and healthy. I am so happy that the price is reasonable to where this other brand was very expensive!

He had no problem getting her to try it, she dove right in ! I am pleased knowing that she is getting good quality and nutritional dog food. I do believe that we will continue on with the Iams after our Mission is complete.
