[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I usually try to mix half hard food with half soft food for my dog. they usually eat the soft first but with this food the ate it all together, they really enjoyed it and tried to get to the bag wen it was put up. i also see it is helping them keep lean and stick to their diet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not able to fully give my opinion on this dog food because sadly my dog, Budha, passed away on July 16th so he only got to try the dog food for about a week. I will give my opinion on that time that he tried the food. Thankfully my pup is not very picky with trying new foods so when I put it in his bowl instead of his regular food. He chomped it up drank some water and then went to go play outside like he normally does. When I looked at the ingredient list I liked that the first thing listed was chicken. Sadly it does have some chicken-by-product in it which is unfortunate, but I decided I'd continue on trying it out. I liked the size of the dry food, they were nice big "chunks' perfect for my dog. They were crunchy and a bit hard, I would have liked them to be a little softer. It wasn't that much of a big deal though, just a preference. The smell of the food was fine, no weird smells. I can't really say if it made a difference in his overall health because he passed away so quickly. My dog was actually 13yrs old and not 1-5yrs that the food was made for. I think it got mixed up with my other dog which is 2yrs old, but is a chihuahua that's only 14lbs. I'm sure though he would have benefited from the extra protein and minerals that are in the dog food. I included a photo of Budha relaxing on my bed from months ago that I took. I regret I didn't have a chance to take photos of him closer to the end of his life. With the leftover food I donated it to a non-profit pet adoption organization so some other dog could benefit from it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have always used Iams dog food for our yellow lab, Harley. Harley is 2 years old now and is eating large breed adult dog food. For the first two years she was eating Iams large breed puppy food. She has regular vet visits, and has never had any problems with either her weight or her health. Our vet is fine with Harley's diet, and actually preferred Iams to us over some other brands when we first brought Harley into our family. It makes us happy to know that we are giving our 4 legged family member food that is good for her, with a price that is good for us. Harley will stay an Iams dog for sure!

We have been giving the Iams to him for the past week... He seem's to absolutely love it! He eats all of what I give him in his bowl three times a day.. Seem's to be absolutely happy with it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I transitioned my dog to the Iams Proactive Health for adult dogs after receiving a free sample from Iams. My dog Chinook is usually very timid about trying different dry dog food, however, this particular food seems to be hitting the nail on the head! She wouldn't leave my side after having her first serving and tried tremendously to coax me back to her food bowl for more! She loves this stuff! I even take a handful outside with me to play with her and use it as rewards for doing her tasks. Thanks Iams for the wonderful product! The Proactive Health for adult dogs is exactly what I've been looking for in a dry dog food for my favorite girl to stay healthy and enjoy life!

My 2 black labs have never had anything but IAMS. Being they were both shelter dogs, I felt they needed the best nutrition they could get and the vet recommended IAMS. And because the price is right we feed it exclusively (and we go through a lot). Everyone comments on how shiny their coats are and how much energy they have. They are 6 & 7 years old now.

She always eats this food very eagerly and really seems to enjoy it. Iams is a brand I feel good about giving my dog and its a brand I trust. I like that the pieces of dog food are larger, I feel that they are the perfect size for Sally. I have nothing bad to say about this food, I feel like it provides complete nutrition for my dog and I will definitely look for this food next time I am out shopping!

It was the only dog food that had chicken as the first item of ingredients and she has been hooked since. I was so excited to see that the brand we love so dearly now has a food tailored for our larger breed dog. Daisy May woofed this food up without thinking twice and has been walking by her bowl looking for more ever since. I cant wait to find this in the store and continue to buy it for her.

I bought a big bag of Iams for older dogs as I have 2 Australian Shepard dogs. Katey is 9 yrs old and Jaxen is 2 yrs old and they loved the Iams dry dog food. I could see a difference in their coat it was more shiny and their coat is thicker. They know when it's time for their food and they get excited.

I've always liked and trusted the Iams brand and felt that the food was of a high quality, however sometimes we switch his kibble so that he doesn't get "bored". The package arrived while I was attending my night class and my mom decided not to open the box until I got home. She told me that my black lab, Buck, was sniffing the box and pawing at it like crazy!! I barely got the box opened before he was shoving his head in there excited for his new kibble. We opened the bag in a few seconds, which must've seemed like an eternity to Buck, and he began to eat handfuls of kibble out of our hands! We decided to mix the Iams Proactive Health Adult Large Breed kibble in with his current kibble (not an Iams brand) and I've found that he will eat around the other brand just to eat the Iams. I know that the first ingredient in this kibble is chicken, which is a good thing because I prefer to feed my dog chicken. Buck has been eating the Iams Proactive Health Adult Large Breed for approximately a week now since the package arrived, and in this time I've noticed that he does have more energy. He's constantly begging me to take him out for walks! At the ripe old age of 7 and the not-so-healthy-but-he's-perfect-anyway weight of 112 lbs, he's never been a fan of running around outside but that has certainly changed within the past week! I'm very excited, as is Buck!, to continue this campaign and see how youthful he can feel with Iams Proactive Health Adult Large Breed!
