[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The kibble in the Iams Large Breed dog food my Cinna is sampling is a little bigger than she was used to. The first few days she kind of picked around it and ate the Iams So Good! food she ordinarily eats first. I feel the size of the chunks are larger and that she doesn't care for them as well. She has been eating it but we keep food out for her constantly and I don't have to fill the bowl as often. I was excited to try a new kind from the brand, but the So Good! is actually cheaper and is a budget friendly option for us that my Cinna seems to love. I have tried other brands of dog food but have consistently returned to the Iams family of products and I was extremely pleased to find the So Good! option to be cheaper but still healthful for my dog.

Both of my dogs love thus product , sometimes I add a vegetable stock to give them treat . It would be nice if the recipes on the back of the bag of healthy things to add to the dog food. We love that the adult large dog works for both of our dogs !

After smelling it and looking up at me several times he finally took a bite. And then another, and another. In the past he has been very fussy and I wasn't too sure how he would react to a new food. He absolutely loves it! The best part of his new love for Iams is the benefits of this great dog food. Not only is it better for him, but he looks so much healthier. Greyhounds tend to be on the lean side, but now though still lean, he looks more muscular. And his coat is shinier then ever before. Thanks to Iams for making a difference in my best friend's life :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a free bag of ProActive Health Large Breed Dog Food from Iams. My two gentle giants love this stuff. I have a black lab, Great Dane, golden retriever mix who weighs in at about 130 pounds, as well as a chocolate lab who weighs probably about 70 pounds. They've both been eating this food for about 3 weeks now. One thing that I was concerned about was how a change in food would affect their bodies. I was prepared for diarrhea and lots of gas, but fortunately none of that happened. After about a week, I did notice that they weren't having bowel movements as much, but I was told that this is because they were eating a food with less fillers and that will inevitably happen. That was great for me, because they seemed to stay fuller for longer, and I was able to cut down on the amount I was feeding them. There were no problems at all with the switcheroo. From the first time they found this in their bowl, they munched it down like they'd been eating it forever. I decided to do a little experiment a few days ago and gave them their old dog food for breakfast. The chocolate lab hesitantly ate it, all the while giving me strange looks out of the corner of his eye. The lab/dane/golden mix flat out refused to eat. We're talking about a dog who loves to eat dirty socks and tootsie rolls from the cat litter box, so I certainly wouldn't describe him as a finicky eater. However, he would not take a single kibble of the old food. I finally gave in and gave him his Iams, and he ate without any problems. I think the wagging tail in the picture says it all. Feeding my dogs Iams makes me feel like I'm doing something special for them. I know that they're getting the essential nutrients they need to maintain their healthy large bodies. Knowing that large dogs tend to have shorter life spans than small dogs makes it even more important to me to know that they're eating a nutritious food.

He doesn't have much of an appetite now, but he'll gobble this food up! We are happy knowing he's eating. Over all it's an affordable food that fits his nutritional needs, we're happy!

Our 4 year old male German Shepherd was very lean and we wanted him to bulk up, so we tried a variety of foods for him. High, Mid-range and low cost foods. When we got to the IAMS Active dog , blue striped, food he changed so dramatically. He bulked up to a good weight, his coat was incredibly more shiny and thicker too. He is a different dog. I had always figured that dog food is dog food but IAMS has shot that stupid thinking of mine down 100%. Thanks fo such a nice quality dog food for our three GSD's. Dave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My three large breed dogs (a great dane, an akita, and a mastiff) all have eaten another brand of dogfood for years. I thought they liked it until I switched to Iams® ProActive Health™ Adult Large Breed. Even my picky 14 year old akita ate her whole bowl right down morning and night. Even better it really seemed to help her temperamental stomach. Anyone with a big dog knows how smelly they can be but the Iams® ProActive Health™ Adult Large Breed greatly reduced this! Also we started the switch over at the same time as they were shedding their winter coats and I can really tell the difference in their new coats from the Iams- so smooth and shiny. They have never looked better!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dog ( Golden Lab) loved this food. The ingredients were solid and seem to comply with the healthy standards you expect for your best friend. I slowly mixed it in with his previous food and so there were no stomach problems. Occasionally with his previous food he would not eat in the morning and then try to inhale his dinner meal. However, with this food he always ate it all and seemed to look forward to meal time. Keep his bathroom times regular and expected so he and I knew what schedule he was on. This really helped with being comfortable when I needed to leave him at home or when I really needed some sleep. Quality product and no stomach issues.
