By far the best shampooing unit I have owned. Cleans well as can be cleaned itself very easily. I'm curious to see if it stands the test of a few years, where some of my other Bissell products stopped functioning correctly. Such as sucking up the dirty water.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product works very well. I love the fact that it's much lighter than the older ProHeat 2X and easier to use. The product does clean carpets very well. It doesn't seem to pull as much water from carpets that's distributed as expected... not even three quarters. My biggest complaint is the handle. Whoever designed it has no knowledge of ergonomic design. The handle really hurts your hand after a using the cleaner for a period of time. Bissell should redesign the handle section and send all registered buyers a replacement at no charge.

We bought this to clean the carpet after we had multiple visitors for a couple of weeks. It was priced right and all I can say about the way it cleaned our carpet is WOW! It did a great job and the carpets looked like they did when we bought the house two years ago.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Every time I've used it so far it pulls up about a 1/4 of what it puts down. Diction is almost non existent and has been that way from day one. If it won't suck the water up that you put down then very little dirt is being extracted from the carpet. This unit is complete garbage. What a waste of money. I wasted mine don't waste yours. I wouldn't even feel good selling it as a used cleaner. It's that bad.

I purchased this machine to clean up some very dirty carpets that have not been cleaned for quite some time. My machine performed great. I did not take very many passes before the carpet started looking a lot cleaner. I read the reviews regarding the performance of this machine not getting the job done. i found that after I read the instructions and used the machine as intended I did not have any problems. I have used Bissell products and will continue to use them. Thanks Bissell for making products that get the job done.

Read almost 50 comments (good and bad) before buying the product. Decided to give it a try and was not disappointed. I think most of the negativity is due to people that simply cannot use the product correctly, no hit on them, but technology is sometimes not for everyone! Anyway, this device replaced a Hoover we had for years that simply wore out. It leaked terribly and the brushes stopped turning under any resistance. This Bissell product is strong from the start and appears to be built to last and has an option to replace the belts to keep the brushes turning strong. I last used the Hoover about a week before buying the Bissell and the new unit cleaned up the traffic areas in the carpet the Hoover gave up on. The carpet dried quickly, even though on the deep clean mode, plus, the carpet does not have the rough texture left by the other machine that had to be vacuumed out the next day. I'm next going to the area rugs and have purchased the bare floor tool for the tiles. Lastly, the carpet smells great!

The new version is lightweight and much easier to clean after using. I have been using my other Pro-heat since 2009 and it was still working just as well as ever, but after seeing and researching the new model I decided to upgrade. I'm so happy that I did, the new design really took some of the work out of a tedious job.

This steam cleaner is amazing. It took less than 4 minutes to assemble and I used it immediately. The cord is extra long and the machine is very lightweight. A win:win. I am involved in a dog rescue and my fosters have accidents. I am a fan for life.

Overall i thought that this was a great carpet cleaner. I read the user manual thoroughly. Only problems i had and couldnt figure how to rectify were on how to use the hose on my steps. Couldnt get that to work for me. Also since i have 2 dogs as i was carpet cleaning all the dog hair kept clumping up in hunks on my carpet instead of being sucked up with the dirt. That issue caused me some extra work having to go around and pick up these hair clumps. The rug looks and smells amazingly clean now just need to figure on how to fix those 2 problems. It is easy to put together, lightweight, moves like a dream and not hard to clean.

After using Rug Doctor for 15ish years, the plastic piece on the front that everyone rams into walls, broke. (This was my machine that's just over a year old) No big deal, I called them to order a replacement.. Low and behold, you have to replace the whole machine they said. Well, I did my research for a whole new machine and ended up with this one! Bissell really thought of everything when they designed this one. It is light weight, the placement of every button, tool, tanks, etc is perfect. I'm very OCD if you couldn't tell already so I was rejoicing and I haven't even turned it on yet if that tells you anything... Anyways, I turned it on finally and the shear power was amazing. It made cleaning up after my 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a high energy 8 year old boy, look like a walk in the park! The best thing is, is I can replace the front plastic piece when I surely ram it into a wall as well! I am now a Bissell customer for life!
