I wish I had this ice maker al my life. My kids say it's the best part of our house. It does a great job and keeping up with my family and friends. The little nugget ice is soooo good. My co-workers always ask me to bring them a cup of ice too! I highly recommend this product!

Over the past few years in hospital. The small ice was always something I loved. I had been wanting my own machine and couldn't really find one. We spent money on bags from different local restaurants. My husband bought this machine as a Christmas gift for me this year and I couldn't be happier!

GE Profile line is unmatched! This is my 3rd profile appliance and it is by far the best ice maker on the market. Within 15 mins of filling it up with water after cleaning all the new parts for the first use, it was already dropping beautiful nuggie ice!!! The taste is the freshest and tastey ice I've ever had. After seeing the reviews of the complaints being made it was easy to see it was all user error. I already knew GE would not disappoint with the opal. I am only using bottled water and couldn't imagine ruining this beauty with tap water. The current sale price was really nice too. Thank you GE for another beautiful machine.

This is the third nugget machine we've had and by far the easiest model to maintain. The side water storage jug really makes it easy to keep the water full and the ice flowing. They don't last forever, our last model lasted 2 years but for the price and convenience it's the only nugget maker we will buy.

We've been using this machine for a few weeks now and are very pleased. It constantly makes ice and even when we use what's in the bin we have new ice in no time. I wasn't able to connect to the wifi, but it's no big deal. Definitely recommend this product

Oddly for a brand new machine, it had some scratches on the bottom of it that must have happened during shipping. Thought maybe they sent me a used one and was going return it, I unpacked it and cleaned it up. Works great. Would be 5 Stars if not for the scratches on the bottom.

I've had issues with the ice maker in all of the refrigerator/freezers I've owned in the last 10 years with most of the ice makers only lasting about a year or so. I finally gave up on replacing them and went without an ice maker for 2 years. I decided to try the Opal and I'm glad that I did. The ice it makes is great and it doesn't take that long for the bin to fill up. While the it's making ice, the compressor can be heard, but I've found that the noise fades to the background unless I specifically listen for it. I'm very happy with it.

This is my third opal machine. I was given a replacement of my second machine and not even 10 months later it is already making the same loud obnoxious noise as the first machine. The ice is good when it's actually working, but the noise is beyond obnoxious and loud, and I've had to just shut it off and not use it. I was told there is no repair for this which is very unfortunate considering how much I have paid for these machines. I was also told there is no warranty on the last one they sent me even though it hasn't even even been a year, because I originally purchased my first one two years ago. This makes no sense considering we're talking about a completely different newer ice machine!! No protection for the buyer

The ice machine is a little loud while making the ice and goes through water really fast. I fill our machine up with water at least once a day, besides that the machine produces ice pretty fast and recirculates the melted ice fast as well. The drawer for the ice tends to leak down the front of the machine when you pull it out, so we have to keep a cloth in the tray they provide for the machine. Overall it is a good machine with a little upkeep.
