We love the product but I feel that the cleaning process is a little intense. I would be better if the reserve tank was clear to see if anything was built up. The cleaning button feature isn't that great. Make a machine that handles the abuse from hard water

This machine was easy to set up and use. It makes more ice than I can use, so I utilize the app to schedule ice making. Cleaning it was a bit of a pain because it is heavy and I have to move it across the kitchen. I would definitely recommend it to others.

Been looking for an ice machine that makes Sonic ice. This is it. My wife said this is the best gift I ever bought her. Easy to use, and makes a lot of ice rather quickly. We have a family of 4, and we have never ran out of ice, or even came close to running out. Some reviews said it is loud sometimes, but it isn’t any louder than our fridge. Great product, so far so good. We all love it.

This little ice maker is great, and I know that it will last for many years to come. I bought it to compliment my new espresso machine, to mimic my favorite coffee shop in town. This ice does that job extremely well, the purified ice from my Aquafina water makes awesome ice. This purified crunch ice is similar to the Cofee bean ice, amazing!

efore this product, I had had good luck with GE appliances. We were given the ice maker We received our first ice maker as a Christmas gift in 2021. That machine was very loud. We returned it and was given a new machine. This new machine makes loud noises that sounds like a cat screaming. This occurs every few days. We have to unplug the machine and re plug it in after a couple of hours. Obviously, this is not acceptable.

I really love the ice from this machine. I never have to worry about running out of ice. The machine is very easy to operate and keep filled with water. I like the light it has in it, makes it easier to see at night. The only downfall I have seen so far with this product is that it is very noisy. It isn't noisy all the time but sometimes it has a loud squealing noise to it. Other than that I am extremely happy with this product.

I purchased an Opal original approximately 2 years ago. Worked great, then one day stopped producing ice. Disappointing to say the least, but I crunch this ice every day so I immediately purchased a replacement (plus an extended warranty so I don't find myself in this situation again. On to the 2.0. It looks better than the original. Less fingerprints and the pull out handle on the ice bin is nice. I never used the extra water bin on my first so I started out using it on this one. I couldn't get it to work. Connected the tube and filled with water, the water would only slightly move to the machine and then I'd get the message to add water. No big deal, I'm used to filling up the main container. Took the extra tank off. The app is great -- tells you when the bin is full, needs more water, or is defrosting or the very best status - Making Ice. This brings me to the defrosting issue. My first Opal would go into defrost mode maybe once or twice a week. The 2.0 defrost a lot. A lot. Like 50% of the time at first. This was enough to make me consider returning because it was literally making 1/3 bin of ice then defrosting, making it hours before a bin would be full (I package the ice so I can take it to work with me and crunch throughout the day - yes, this is an addiction) so this output would not be enough. I kept trying and it seems as though after 2 weeks or so, the machine has started producing an output similar to my OG Opal in its heyday. It seems that this product still has strides to make to improve, but if you did a deep dive into reviews like I did, you'll notice that there is no perfect version of this scale pebble ice maker. For now, it will have to do. The machine makes the ice that at this point, I have to have - but to improve would be to increase the life of the product, hopefully bring the price down a bit, and make sure that the Opal can stay in ice making mode as much as possible. It's pricey, but the ice is great -- my recommendation would be to make sure to spring for the extended warranty.

Product works fantastic! Easy to use, wifi was a little weird to set up, but once we got it working it's super nice. You are able to set it up on a schedule. It lets you know when it needs to be cleaned through the app.. Makes wonderful ice quickly and it's rather quiet for an ice maker. Over all extremely pleased with this product! I had the original Opal ice maker and it died on me after a little over 2 years. This one is greatly improved!! Totally love it!!

My life is transformed! Beverages will never be the same! If only I could travel with my peddle ice maker?! Looks chic on my credenza. It’s a tall machine so it didn’t fit on my counter tops in my rather retro kitchen. But all is good because it can function without being hooked up to a water supply. I use it all day every day. Cleaning it is a bit of a process but once I did it I realized it’s actually ok. I went a month without cleaning it and it began to squeak like a dying animal…. Now that I’ve thoroughly doused it in white vinegar it’s back to being a quiet cat (metaphorically speaking)

When it works properly, it’s wonderful. But it hardly ever works properly. We had to already trade in our first icemaker because it had so many issues. Now the second one has issues as well. Sometimes it just gets clogged and doesn’t fill with water. Sometimes it sits idle for no reason and doesn’t produce ice. We have to take it apart and back together so many times in order for it to work. Again, if it would work, smoothly start to finish all the time the ice is wonderful.
