We absolutely love this product. Our icemaker from our (fridge) is clearly not keeping up and we need to do something. I thought about having one installed but there are several thousand dollars. This is the perfect song I would recommend this product absolutely anybody who's ice production is not being kept up with their fridge/freezer.

So far we are really enjoying this icemaker. It makes excellent ice for chewing and it's pretty fast as well. There are a couple of cons. It does sometimes make noise and we just turn it off for a bit and this seems to take care of it. The other con is the price. Seems a bit expensive for what it is. But we still love it.

The ice maker works fine, but when you open the bin to get ice out, water leaks upon a black shiny piece of plastic. I wouldn't expect it to leak, but the way it is designed right now, I'm sure that there is no other way. Maybe a new design in the future.

This is a wonderful ice machine. It was easy to set up. The WIFI choice is really nice. The only issue is that the on/off button requires a very slight/ light touch to turn off, so I've turned it off unintentionally a couple of times. However, it makes the ice so quickly that it was minimal inconvenience.

Our original GE ice maker was the original Opal. It worked well until it didn't, making super loud noises like grinding and then squeals. To their credit, GE replaced it as it was under warranty and since the original Opal wasn't being made anymore, they sent us the Opal 2. Unfortunately, the ice is hard and not like the original Opal. The ice comes out shaped like the original Opal but it's hard like getting crushed ice out of a freezer. I don't think sending this one back would help. It's like the ice freezes way too hard, it even looks different than the original one we had.

My wife found this product online and thought it would make a great early Father's Day gift for me. When she showed me, I was intrigued by the ice but skeptical about having yet another appliance in the house taking up coveted counter space. Well, I am now a convert. The machine is quite compact and fits easily on a counter without being obtrusive, yet is large enough to make and hold a quantity of ice sufficient for our family of seven. It's also extremely quick to produce the ice-turn it on when it's time for movie night and within ten minutes it's churning out ice, and the bin is half full fifteen minutes after that. The beauty of the device is that when the ice bin is full, any additional ice produced spilled over into the water reservoir where it melts and gets drawn back into the machine to produce ice again. When you are done with the machine, the ice left in the bin melts, drains from the ice bin into the water reservoir, and when you start it up again that water gets made into ice yet again. And if that isn't enough, the ice maker is WiFi enabled and connected via an app. If you're leaving work and want ice when you arrive home thirty minutes later, you can turn the machine on from the app while walking out to your car and it will turn on and have the ice churning for you when you get home. Want to turn it off? You can do that remotely as well. The machine makes a little noise on start up, then quickly settles in and is very quiet after a few minutes. And the ice is superb. Soft, crunchy, just like what you get at some restaurants and in the hotel ice machines. Do yourself a favor and buy this ice maker.

The ice maker works fairly well. Occasionally, it will produced some ice similar to shaved ice, but produces perfect nuggets otherwise. The water basin is not the easiest to fill. The ice bin must be completely removed, and needs a plate or pan to rest to prevent water from the bottom getting on the counter, and to prevent contamination (water drains from bottom of bin back into basin). Bin area is poorly insulated, so ice continually melts and is remade. The is no refrigeration on the bin, unit only runs while making ice. When ice making starts, it pours water over the existing ice more a few minutes until the tubes freeze and start forming the nuggets. Cleaning is a little involved, but not terrible all things considered, especially if installed with a foot or so of a sink. Overall, it is a decent product, but for the price I would expect a little more than the basic design described above.

This unit not only looks fabulous in the black Is stainless still it works like a dream! You can connect wirelessly to it with Wi-Fi and you can turn it on and off with the app on your phone. This will make your home look and act like a rock n roll star!!

I do like this ice maker, it makes them well and in these small balls that are fun to feel in your mouth. I wish that it wouldn't make this screaming noise every other week, for no reason. It's especially bad when it wakes you up in the middle of the night. It is newer machine so there wasn't a lot of reviews mentioning that. We shouldn't have to change out the ice every week bc it feels so wasteful of water and energy.

It's really nice looking and the ice is great. But mine stopped working consistently after two weeks and then stopped working altogether within another week. Seems that the pump was the issue on mine. So far, the warranty has seemed to work smoothly. Hopefully the replacement works and it's just a one off. I always assume the best, but keep in mind the negative reviews as well. When it does work, it's amazing, but could have issues. For the price, it's hard to justify.
