When it is past time to replace the filter, you may notice that your ice maker is no longer making ice. You may also notice the ADD WATER notification, even though you have water in the reservoir. Some sounds are normal. Normal noises typically cease after 10 to 45 minutes within the ice making cycle. Hard surfaces like the floor, walls and countertops can amplify these sounds. If the ice maker is making a continuous grinding noise, this is not normal.
