The only thing I did not like is that I had to replace it after 2 years, but I bought the same unit again as we love it that much. I figured for the amount we use it, it was sure to not last forever. Hope this one last longer.

I've enjoyed the Opal for a few months and think it's a great addition to my GE products in my kitchen. I love that I can schedule it to run at certain hours and support my usage times

The machine sounds like a demon lives in it if it's not cleaned every 2 weeks even with soft water and the ge filter. It makes great ice but upkeep is a big pain.

My friend has this ice maker. After spending a lot of time at her house and using this machine, I could not live without it in my house. It makes ice amazingly fast and it is the best ice ever!

We have had other counter top ice makers for years. This one is quiet and provides ice for our family of 3 adults with ice at all times. We love the extra water holder. We are glad we bought it even though it is pricey.

It's a beautiful machine that is always full of ice. It's quiet and I love that the light is dimmable. It's expensive, but the good things usually are.

The product makes good ice, however it squeals constantly and I've had it a week. The price isn't justified if it doesn't hold up any better than this.

The ice maker is just the right size, runs quit does a good job keeping up with my consumption daily. Only complaint would be, some days for some reason it starts to make slushy ice. Not sure why but I personally don't mind it.

Excellent ice maker. You will need to descale the unit as required for smooth operation. Yes pricey for sure but all worth the money in the long run if you maintain this per the manufacture. Our Opal Profile original last about 4 years.

Yes, it makes a slight bit of noise. Nothing I can hear over my 15 mo old, for sure. This baby makes the good good ice, though. Spend less at Sonic, get yo'self one!
