Hello. We appreciate you reaching out to us with this concern, though we truly hate to hear the Opal is not making ice normally for you. We know how frustrating an issue with a new appliance would be, and this isn’t the quality ownership experience we want to provide for you. We’d like to assist. The Opal is meant to start producing ice about 15 to 30 minutes after it’s started, and will continue until the bin is full or the water has run out. If you have not been able to solve this by filling the unit with water, you may want to review the manual to ensure everything is set up as it should be. The manual has information on getting started using the model, troubleshooting, and (if you think you may need to take advantage of it) your limited warranty on page 19. Resetting the Opal by disconnecting it from power for 3 to 4 hours can also help in some cases.
