Just got our Opal set up and it was so simple. The unit made its first ice in less than 10 minutes. We had another type ice maker for our bar but this one beats it hands down. Thank you GE for a great product.

I just received a replacement for my first ice maker because it was making a terrible load noise and this one is telling to add water. There is water! I've cleaned and soaked it with vinegar with no luck. Calling on Monday for replacement again!

It's a beautiful machine that is always full of ice. It's quiet and I love that the light is dimmable. It's expensive, but the good things usually are.

Stop looking at this ice maker and buy it. If you chew on ice it is worth the price. Makes ice unbelievably fast and the saddle tank keeps a steady supply of water coming.

I love the ice and the look of the ice maker but almost immediately it started making a squeaking noise. I cleaned it and it stopped. A day later it started squeaking again!!

I love ice so I have wanted a good ice maker forever. Finally got it and my family loves it. I highly recommend the version with the water tank. It is worth the little extra cost.
