When it works it’s great but the one I’ve had for 2 years is making screeching noises equivalent to nails on a chalkboard and leaking. The amount of time and effort it takes to clean it is ridiculous. If I do purchase another machine it would be my third in 4 years, at this point it’s probably worth looking at other alternatives.

I have had this product since February as a birthday gift from my husband. I have had nothing but issues with it!! I only use bottles of distilled water in the machine, yet, after a couple of days, the cleaning indicator comes on. So I have to take the entire thing apart and clean everything. I’ve even performed a deep clean using vinegar. Yet, within days the cleaning indicator comes on and stays on for days. It’s very frustrating and we are probably going to sell it.

I think it is simple to install and keep up, featuring a user-friendly design that is soft on teeth. Nevertheless, a few customers have mentioned problems with the noise level, including the pump producing loud sounds or clicking repeatedly. There are varying views on its functionality, cost-effectiveness, dimensions, and ease of cleaning.

I've had the GE Profile Opal 2.0 Ice Maker for about 6 months now. Although I absolutely love the ice, the unit started making noise (like a screaming banshee!!) after about three months. I have to unplug the unit for a couple of days and restart it. It's fine for a few days and then it starts screaming again after a few days! I'm not sure how I can get a replacement as I can't find information on the website.

I’ve tried other nugget ice makers and was disappointed. Constant cleaning, loud and then they just died. I upgraded and love this one. Easy to clean runs quietly. Just run the cleaning cycle with vinegar ever few weeks let it sit over night draining and rinse a few time and it’s good as new.

This was a Christmas gift to my husband but everybody who comes over prefers the nugget ice to the larger cubes out of the freezer. It fits perfectly under the upper cabinets without hitting anything. The side reservoir is easily accessible for refilling. The only downside to it is the noise. It is louder than our full size side by side refrigerator with a built in ice maker. Other than the noise, it has been great.

It's quick and makes great ice. Everybody loves it. The only reason I dropped a star is because it makes a humming noise while operating. It's not overly loud but it is noticeable. Also, it does drip a little when you pull the ice bin out so I don't recommend putting it on something that could be damaged by water. Finally, it is pricier than other products that make the same type of ice...I wanted the ability to turn it on remotely though which is why I spent the extra.

When it works properly, it’s wonderful. But it hardly ever works properly. We had to already trade in our first icemaker because it had so many issues. Now the second one has issues as well. Sometimes it just gets clogged and doesn’t fill with water. Sometimes it sits idle for no reason and doesn’t produce ice. We have to take it apart and back together so many times in order for it to work. Again, if it would work, smoothly start to finish all the time the ice is wonderful.

Goodbye enamel, hello chick-fil-a ice. I cannot express my satisfaction with the crunch-ability of this ice. It is exactly, and I mean EXACTLY what I was looking for. How do I feel about the price? I don't like to think about it, don't remind me. Usually pouring a drink with the ice makes me forget I used 1/2 my paycheck to purchase this.

We really like having this in our kitchen, but it has some issues with it automatically triggering to make more ice as the pellets melt/get eaten. Just means we need to run the deep cleaning cycle relatively often and manually restart the ice process. Not sure if that’s common or just our machine.
