I love it! In the past three months we have gone through four different ice makers and they all would make ice for a day or so then they would start screaming so loud you can hear it outside. This one is quiet and does a great job, I am very satisfied with it.

We owned the 1st generation Opal Ice Maker and it was great! It eventually quick working and we started to pass on buying a new one because of the cost. We enjoy pellet ice so much, we took the plunge and bought it. Was the BEST CHOICE we made. Everything about the ice maker is improved and a joy to have. What I like best, is how easy it is to clean...I actually look forward to cleaning it vs. the old maker.

Ice maker has a sensor that tells it to start making more when the bin starts getting low on ice. The ice falls into the bin in a pile and doesn't really spread out, so the pile gets tall in the middle and "tricks" the machine into thinking the bin is full, so it stops making ice and that ice just gets melty.

I love the ice maker but trying to get one that actually works longer than 2 months is an issue! I’m On my second one in 3 months and now the ice him broke and they want to send me a refurbished model when I just bought a brand new one less than 2 months ago!

This thing makes ice fast, and it is good ice. I have tried other brands, but nothing compares. Has Wi-Fi, so you can schedule it to come on in the morning and before you get home from work. Keeps up with lots of people, so it is also good for parties. It is quite large so get ready for it to take up counter space, and it is heavy. The cleaning routine is not hard but you need to move it near a sink to drain it. The nose could be quieter but it is not annoying.

Our kids love pellet ice. We love pellet ice. We bought our machine almost 5 years ago, and sadly, it has passed on. But we missed it so much! And so we went to the store, and now we have the new one. And wow, is it quiet! We have a large family and this machine keeps us happy with a constant stream of ice. Hoping this one works for ten years. I strongly recommend using filtered or distilled water.

Ice maker is working fine. I have not had any issues with its ice production since 3/27/2022. Now, the issue I am having is with the removable ice bin. Water gets between the two layers of plastic at the front of the ice bin and you cant get it out. You can see the soapy water in the images I have included in this review. I will be contacting GE and telling them they need to send me a replacement ice bin. An ice maker having WiFi is a stupid idea. There is zero benefit to having this. The WiFi also forgets all your network information if you turn it off and then on again. Have to do the setup again. I will never enable WiFi again on this. It it pointless. Instead of including WiFi, engineering time and effort should have been put into a cleaning reminder on the front panel display.

We really love this ice maker! It makes the perfect size ice we want and is almost always full and ready to go! That being said, I keep getting messages that we need to add water even when the water tank is full. And sometimes it won't make the ice unless I power our down then on again. Is it defective? Hmmm not sure but for the price we paid, I'm definitely going to find out! Lol

This is a little noisy, but I guess that could be expected for making ice. My husband got this for our bar area, but it is way to big to put anywhere. Won't fit nicely under any shelves because it is too tall. Takes up a lot of counter space. And it is way too heavy to be lifting up out of a cabinet when you want to use it. We ended up with it in our laundry room and I just turn it on for the weekends. Just feels like I am using a lot of electricity to run this thing all the time. I try to empty the water out on Monday, but there is still water sitting in the machine that cannot be easily emptied. Hope this isn't gorwing bacteria or mold. It is nice having ice of the weekends to grab. And the ice is nice and made quickly. Though I feel like it is more trouble than it is worth. Would have preferred to have one built in to cabinets and hooked up to a water supply. My husband really likes having this kind of ice though.

So far all is going well and we love the ice that this machine makes. We have had to clean it twice at the machines request, which was like cleaning a coffee maker... not much of an issue. We hope that this ice machine keeps on working... now that we have it... can't live without it. Fresh, nicely sized, and "chewable ice" for cocktails is quite enjoyable.
