Purchased this for our home (family of 7) and we have used it 9 months with no issues! Highly recommend this ice maker if you are looking to purchase one for your home. Easy to follow maintenance steps and overall great ice maker! Delish nugget ice!!!

The ice maker is extra easy to use, clean, and enjoy. My 5 yr old granddaughter tells me constantly that it makes the best ice ever. It's fast and keeps the bin full. Very tasty and is great for the holiday season drinks. I absolutely love it and don't know what I would do without it! Thank you GE you've done it again.

Truly the best gift I received on my 40th birthday. We use it every day, multiple times a day - and it works absolutely perfectly. The ice is delicious, I keep hydrated, and my dog no longer chokes on huge ice cubes. It's a win all around! Highly recommend if you enjoy perfect ice that crunches, but is also like crunching on a soft cloud! Don't hesitate If you are on the fence - I did for too long and wish i bought it sooner.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine is no lightweight. It carried like an air conditioner when I got it. It is smaller than an air conditioner but still takes up a substantial amount of counter space. Once I read the instructions, cleaned it, and filled it I have have nothing but good things to say about this machine. It make small ice pieces, a little bigger than your normal chopped ice, and it make ice quickly. The side reservoir is definitely needed because it will go through the water as you use the ice, but I feel it is better than getting an ice machine in the fridge just because of volume and convenience.

Not only does this appliance look great, it works great as well. This makes the perfect ice to satisfy all your drinking needs. It's easy to use and install. Comes with an excellent user guide, which provides good clear instructions for everything. It's quite attractive with the clear plastic and brushed stainless steel, it fits right in with all my other appliances. It's much quieter than expected with just barely an audible hum during operation. This is a rather large (and heavy) ice maker but it fit perfectly fine underneath my cabinets. This unit is not refrigerated, so as ice collects into the bin it will slowly melt, however the water gets recycled back into the machine and will be reused to make more ice. My only complaint is how long it takes to complete an ice making cycle, it takes literally hours for it to fill the bin with ice. Not a big issue but you definitely need to plan ahead if you're going to need ice, however if you dump the ice into a bag occasionally and freeze it you'll always have ice on-hand.

We love the ice and the machine so far but have only had it around 45 days it was easy to set up and was making ice in just a short time after it arrived. The capacity is small but for a family of two it is certainly adequate. Makes ice fast. Only item I can't get to work is connection to WiFi/Bluetooth. App says it can't find the appliance. Other than that it works great

We love our ice maker. We love the movability we use it outside during cookouts swimming on these hot summer days. Makes every beverage ice cold nuggets are the perfect size for any drink. Love the Wi-Fi features allows me to turn off and on without going in and out of the house.

This thing makes ice fast, and it is good ice. I have tried other brands, but nothing compares. Has Wi-Fi, so you can schedule it to come on in the morning and before you get home from work. Keeps up with lots of people, so it is also good for parties. It is quite large so get ready for it to take up counter space, and it is heavy. The cleaning routine is not hard but you need to move it near a sink to drain it. The nose could be quieter but it is not annoying.

We just bought the GE Profile Opal 2.0 Ice Machine. It is just as we thought it would be - GREAT. It took a about 4 or so hrs. for the bin to fill the 1st time but has made new ice continuously since then. I enjoy chewing on ice and this ice is perfect. Yes, the machine makes a subtle noise but it's not annoying

This is a little noisy, but I guess that could be expected for making ice. My husband got this for our bar area, but it is way to big to put anywhere. Won't fit nicely under any shelves because it is too tall. Takes up a lot of counter space. And it is way too heavy to be lifting up out of a cabinet when you want to use it. We ended up with it in our laundry room and I just turn it on for the weekends. Just feels like I am using a lot of electricity to run this thing all the time. I try to empty the water out on Monday, but there is still water sitting in the machine that cannot be easily emptied. Hope this isn't gorwing bacteria or mold. It is nice having ice of the weekends to grab. And the ice is nice and made quickly. Though I feel like it is more trouble than it is worth. Would have preferred to have one built in to cabinets and hooked up to a water supply. My husband really likes having this kind of ice though.
