First and far most the best ice maker in the maker, the packaging was so nicely packed and tight leaving little to none wiggle room for an accident, the display of the boxing on the outside is beautiful which really catch my eye at first look. I would say the instructions are very easy to follow and understand step by step what really sold me was how easy and simple the cleaning process of the device unlike other ice makers I've had! Now I have to say unboxing it and just putting up to look at is gorgeous all the way down to the finish of the look of it I wouldn't have any other ice maker from now on I am completely blown away Thanks again GE Appliances for putting so much thought in this ice maker and to have further upgrade purchases in the near future you could add on to it for decoration for those who like to go all out lol.

Fantastic product! We've had it up and running for a couple of weeks now and really enjoy it. Once it is set up, the ease of use and functionality is great. Only thing that kept it from 5 stars was that it is a bit of a pain to unbox, clean and set up. It is not plug and play.

I've had this unit for nearly a month. It makes ice quickly. I love the look. Can be just a bit noisy but it's not constant. Took off the side reservoir to save counter space. Side tank had a tendency to leak or drip water while refilling. It's just too easy to refill the main reservoir. Over all, I'd still purchase this unit. Hoping it lasts!

So far so good! Quite a few steps to set it up, but very clear instructions and not difficult at all. I've had it for a week. I love it. The only issue I've had is getting the side tank to properly provide water to the main unit but other than that it's been great.

Love the nugget ice. The only problem I have is the ice maker will not work when the filter is installed. I use water from my refrigerator which has a filter but the water in ice maker still needs a filter because it is not removed with just the screen.

The ice maker makes awesome nugget ice, and does so fairly quickly, to use as drinking ice for our family of 5. It's pretty loud and the defrost cycle runs quite often though. On top of that we regularly have had ice come in the consistency of shaved ice, which the kids love but is quite annoying when you're expecting pellets. Overall we like it, but wonder at times if our specific unit is a dud due to the shaved ice situation.

My life is transformed! Beverages will never be the same! If only I could travel with my peddle ice maker?! Looks chic on my credenza. It's a tall machine so it didn't fit on my counter tops in my rather retro kitchen. But all is good because it can function without being hooked up to a water supply. I use it all day every day. Cleaning it is a bit of a process but once I did it I realized it's actually ok. I went a month without cleaning it and it began to squeak like a dying animal…. Now that I've thoroughly doused it in white vinegar it's back to being a quiet cat (metaphorically speaking)

Our kids love pellet ice. We love pellet ice. We bought our machine almost 5 years ago, and sadly, it has passed on. But we missed it so much! And so we went to the store, and now we have the new one. And wow, is it quiet! We have a large family and this machine keeps us happy with a constant stream of ice. Hoping this one works for ten years. I strongly recommend using filtered or distilled water.

This thing is really amazing. You have to make sure you follow cleaning instructions and make sure you clean the fan and it will last forever. I really wish it had a hard plumb option without having to modify the side tank. I really hope GE gets that in the works!
