We love our new ice maker. It's key to have the side reservoir, so you don't have to refill as often. My two hiccups for it would be the price, it's very expensive, and the it doesn't have a holder for the scoop. We just have it sit on top of the machine. It would be nice if it had a slot on the side to slip it into.

A great addition to to our home and kitchen. Every time we entertain we get the request for “the good ice” so simple to use and is not that difficult to clean. The WI-FI feature is great, you can program it to start making ice when you want or turn it on while you're on your way home. It also lets you know when it needs cleaning. We did not get the auxiliary water tank, but our friends got one after seeing ours with the tank and they love it. I don't think you will be disappointed in this purchase. We haven't used our other ice machine since we got this one.

We bought our first ice maker 5 years ago when it was the FirstBuild Opal version. We loved it then, but really love the new GE Profile version with side tank. It functions well, is quieter than the previous version, and has a more attractive look and feel to it. The pull-out drawer has a stop-catch so it won't fall out when open, which is a new feature that appeals to us.

My wife and kids absolutely love it! Super stylish and highly functional. It stays on 24/7 at my house and only stops when the ice bin is full. Highly recommend getting the side tank as it makes replenishing the water super easy. I've seen some reviews talking about noise, but honestly I haven't noticed a thing other than the occasional dropping of the ice.

We absolutely love sonic ice and when our ice maker in our condo broke we decide to get a tabletop ice maker. This was beyond our expectations. Just in time for Thanksgiving and our big family. It kept up with our demands and was was constantly full. I was worried it would be too large because our kitchen it not very big, but it fit perfect.

The small pellet ice is a favorite here and having this ice maker is so convenient. The set up was quick and ice was being produced within an hour of opening the box. A simple touch turns the machine on and the additional side water tank reduces the number of times water needs to be added.

I love my GE opal icemaker. We have two homes and I have one at each of the houses (because they're in different cities and it's a long way to travel to get fresh ice each day 🤣). All of our friends and family love it as well. I have shared the link for it with several people. I've also purchased it and gifted it to two family members who were really covering mine. I have had the one at my summer home for five years and I've had no problems with it. The one at my Winter home I've had for maybe a year. No problems with it thus far either. Although, I'm not very techy, and so I have my assistant set it up and program it for me. Love, love, love it!

We've had our ice maker 3 months and it already died, started emitting a weird burnt metal / plastic smell, I think essentially the intake fan failed or the motor burned out. The ice making works fine and no issues with sound (I think it's pretty quiet) . This machine makes the best ice but I'm bummed that the machine gave out so quickly especially when I babied it, cleaned it on schedule and followed all instructions incl using only distilled water. A lot of hassle and expense for something just to die on me.

We were having trouble with our ice maker in our fridge keeping up with the amount of ice we used when we had people over. We got a different brand of nugget ice maker at first because it was cheaper. Let me tell you, you get what you pay for! We took the other ice maker back after ONE day because it was so LOUD! It also didn't fit under our cabinets. We should've just purchased the Opal to begin with! It is quieter, more compact, and makes better ice, to be honest! We love it!

This ice maker makes ice really fast! Had ice within 10 mins of plugging it in. It also looks really cool sitting on the country with nice ambient lighting. All of my friends have this same unit and love it! With today's refrigerators ice machines breaking constantly this was a nice addition to our home.
