Don't give me diamonds, give me “ice” of a different kind - my GE Profile nugget ice machine! Love the small, chewable size. Fits nicely in all shapes of glasses. Perfect for entertaining. I'll never send out for bags of ice again. Never have to worry about stale refrigerator ice. LOVE IT!

We loved it at first but then after multiple cleaning cycles after setting it up and then making a first batch of ice, we all tasted the ice and I noticed something in my mouth. Removed object and it was a metal shaving! I then stopped everyone from consuming the ice and then allowed the icemaker to finish making a complete batch of ice overnight. In the morning I dumped all of the ice and the side water reservoir. I went to empty the internal reservoir and notice 2 more metal shavings floating in the bottom! I love it! In the past three months we have gone through four different ice makers and they all would make ice for a day or so then they would start screaming so loud you can hear it outside. This one is quiet and does a great job, I am very satisfied with it.

This machine is very impressive for it's quality and the amount of ice that it puts out! We have a large household and this icemaker manages to keep us with a steady supply of ice. The machine itself isn't that big but it produces ice very quickly and quietly. The nuggets are nice and crunchy, and last a long time in a double-walled water bottle. Installation was very easy (just be sure to follow the cleaning instructions first) and I appreciated that the water tank could be installed on either side. I actually really like the app feature--it lets me know when to tell my housemates to fill the water tank. The light also makes it feel very fancy. Sometimes the side water tank needs to be lifted in/out or the B Tube needs to be pinched a bit to let water flow into the main reservoir. I also wish there was a place to put the ice scoop on the machine (not in the drawer) but beyond that we're very happy with it.

This was a Christmas gift to my husband but everybody who comes over prefers the nugget ice to the larger cubes out of the freezer. It fits perfectly under the upper cabinets without hitting anything. The side reservoir is easily accessible for refilling. The only downside to it is the noise. It is louder than our full size side by side refrigerator with a built in ice maker. Other than the noise, it has been great.

Love most of it. Great ice, constant feed. The reservoir shouldn't cost extra. Should come with the first filter. Watery. The tray is a poor excuse for dripping when it opens. Should hold more ice. Just a couple of people use it at a party and the ice is gone. The Wifi app is underwhelming. Should have more and better features.

I love my Opal 2.0. I was very nervous because it's such a big purchase. I researched and read many reviews. I am very pleased with the Opal overall. The cleaning process is a little time consuming but, worth it. The ice is perfect. Yes, it does make voice but it is no worse than other electronic appliance. It has been well worth every penny. I love that I can set a schedule. I ordered on Monday morning and it was delivered Tuesday afternoon. Ordering direct from GE was the best price around. The drip tray is a must, every time you open the compartment for ice, there is water that will drip. My only real complaint is that the water filter is apparently not something that is available yet. I really wish there was a filter. The opal makes plenty of ice, even when we've had multiple people making drinks we have never run into. Well worth the investment!!!

My only complaint about the GE Ice Maker is that while it's making ice there is a terrible squeaking noice that it makes that gets my dogs attention and causes him to absolutely freak out. If you can ignore that, it's a great product and would absolutely recommend!

I have a SERIOUS chic-fl-a addition, partly due to the ice in the drinks! My husband and I laugh about it often and Sundays are usually agonizing waiting for Monday morning! The wait is now over! This ice maker is a solid investment for our family!! We are ice connoisseurs and this machine deserves ALL the stars!! I definitely recommend the side tank!

Overall really good product. Works as described & produces a large amount of ice. The auxiliary tank is very useful & reduces time of adding water to the maker. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was due the noise of the unit when making ice. Every time you remove a scoop of ice the maker automatically come on and I feel is a little noisy.
