I am an ice chewer and this ice is perfect. Small and easy to crunch. The unit is a little louder than I expected but I'm used to it. It make ice faster than my house hold needs and for parties I just dump a bunch of buckets full into a cooler or the freezer. I recommend using bottled or well-filtered water. Easy to set-up. Easy to clean. Would highly recommend.

This was a Christmas gift for my wife because she would have me go to the store to get a cup of the “good ice” often. We are both happy with our new GE Profile Opal 2.0 Ice-Maker with extra Easy-Fill Water Tank . Definitely recommend the water tank. We now don't need to waste fuel or time driving to the store for nugget ice. It was easy to set up. You can hear it running in our small kitchen however it's not annoyingly loud just a gentle hum. We purchased the water filter too which is a nice option feature. Have been using it constantly for a month now without any issues. When setting it up just follow the instructions. We live in an area with hard water so we follow the descaling recommendation of every 2-3 weeks. Working virtually from home I find that I am drinking more water more often with the good ice even though it's winter here because it's so much more refreshing with this ice. This unit is on the expensive side however it's been a good investment so far. We've had a few parties and our guests enjoy the ice too. More time is needed to know how durable it will be. After a year it would be good to give another review.

I love nugget ice and this machine makes it perfectly and quickly. The unit I got has the side reservoir and makes the footprint a little larger, but it makes it easy to fill with water. The machine is quiet and quick, can't ask for much more. It was an awesome birthday gift.

Cleaning is a bit cumbersome. Bleaching once a week seems excessive, but for as expensive of an ice machine this is, who am I to argue if I want to keep it working properly. Wifi scheduling feature is awesome. I set mine to start at 430am so we have enough ice for two adults come time to leave the house. All in all I love the machine, just wish it were faster and didn't require as frequent cleaning.

My husband and I purchased this ice maker after using a family member's first generation machine several times during the holidays, family visits, etc. We like the water reservoir being on the side of this model and the more modernized appearance. As some other users have said, the cleaning process is a tad cumbersome, but not a deal breaker. The machine does make noise as others have disclosed. It is not obtrusive, but for on occasion as water flows through the drain tubes and again not a deal breaker. So far, we are very pleased with the purchase! It has been a hit!

Overall this thing is awesome. Ice chunks are perfect size, they don't melt too quickly and totally chewable. It makes ice quickly too. Expensive but I eat ice and was using like crushed ice from my fridge. The filter is a bonus. Ice tastes totally neutral.

This unit is everything it is supposed to be and more! We love pellet ice, and some of our favorite beverages are and can be replicated with this awesome unit. You wanna call it Sonic ice, soda ice, or just pellet ice, your beverages will certainly have more flair and taste with the ice from this machine. We have received many compliments from family and guests in our home - the downside is it is a bit pricey, but small appliances that are well-made and have a "cool" factor fall into this price range. Has anyone priced a good mixer or toaster oven these days? We highly recommend this machine!

The nugget ice maker is worth the hype. Definitely get it with the water attachment on the side which helps with the continuous refilling. My one negative is the noise when it's flushing through water to create the ice. Aside from that, it does make ice quickly and it's the perfect addition for any cocktails or iced coffees.

This little go getter has solved all of my busy family's problems! We have 3 athletes, a nurse and a husband and we live in warm, sunny Florida. We go through sooo many bottles of ice water in a day. This ice maker is Perfect. It keeps up with our family and the ice is the most amazing texture!

Wife loves to crunch ice. It literally drives me nuts. But she loves it. When I saw that this was a "thing" I had to get it for her. She puts up with me.... Do the math. Anyway. She loves it. Loves. It. Best relationship help ever.
