This ice maker is HORRIBLE. The concept is great and the ice is so so amazing, that is when it works. We had our first machine for about 4-5 months before something broke inside and started leaking everywhere. We got our second machine this is where it goes downhill it started making a screeching noise and would go into defrost constantly. They send a new one, same issue but this one couldn't event make a full tray of ice not to mention the box it was delivered in was destroyed and the unit had a dent on the side. Another one was sent it ran perfect for literally 48 hours and then has barely made any ice it's just been in defrost mode. Save yourself some time and headache and do not buy. So unfortunate, it could've been a great product.

I love the ice, my husband loves it more than I do. Initially, it sounded like a dying cat, but that has mostly gone away. I'm hoping it was just a matter of breaking the machine in. I would love an option to purchase a warranty as I've heard these do break over time, I'm not sure how to do that since it was a gift. I would recommend this product if you love ice cold drinks, it's nicer to use than regular ice with soda because it causes a LOT less fizz.

I have wanted one of these for the longest time and my husband treated me this Christmas. This ice maker has been a present for the entire family. It can crank out ice in no time and we never run out. Set up was very easy. I was very surprised to find out that even though it is not refrigerated, there is still ice in the morning after being turned off over night. It also runs pretty quiet and the hum of the machine has just become another normal sound in our house. It has 100% lived up to what was advertised as far as I am concerned.

I have been buying bags of ice at Chick fil a for a while My husband surprised me on Christmas Day with this Ice Maker My entire family now is drinking more water since having this ice maker. We are extremely happy with it. Just a warning you do need space for it

The ice is amazing! It's denser and lasts longer in drinks than the burger and chicken fast food ice, and you don't have to worry about if the fast food place passed its Health Department ice maker test. I get ice within 15 minutes. I just wish it was at a lower cost.

Having had an Opal Icemaker for many years, I was excited to get the new Model with Side Tank. The side tank is a great time saver as I don't have to constantly check water level to make sure I have enough for ice. A side tank when filled lasts 4-5 days and sometimes longer if I don't use as much ice. Big plus is the modern look. Mine is black and a great compliment to my black kitchen appliances.

Who doesn't love nugget ice? We keep purified water in the machine and I hardly have to clean it. It fits on my counter top nicely and easily accessible. Installation was a breeze. It can be a little noisy when making ice, so I let it fill up the bin with ice and turn the machine off. I wish there was a function to keep the refrigerator part on and cold, but the ice stays cold for most of the day. I love the Crunchy sonic-type ice!

The ice maker makes wonderful pellet ice. The only think I don't like is that when you first turn it on, it drips water into the ice receiving area which makes the first ice it makes very damp. After that, the ice is fine. Not that this is a concern because melted ice will drip back into the reservoir. It does make plenty of ice. Once it gets going, it will drain the reservoir in a few hours and then will stop making ice. Because the ice receptacle is not refrigerated, the ice will eventually melt. I suggest emptying the bin into the fridges ice maker bin (of course with that ice maker turned off). You can then dispense the ice as you normally would. It is also recommended that you use purified water or distilled water so scale does not build up. I agree. So far, so good.

This machine was easy to set up and use. It makes more ice than I can use, so I utilize the app to schedule ice making. Cleaning it was a bit of a pain because it is heavy and I have to move it across the kitchen. I would definitely recommend it to others.

I think it's a wonderful ice make especially if you love nugget ice. The amount of ice it produces is great, and love the side tank with it. My only flaw and reason for 4 stars is the weekly descaling notification that we get, and having to clean it have it sit for 18 plus hours. Other than that it's an excellent ice machine.
