I absolutely love this jewel. I've had every other ice maker out there and have been disappointed with them all. Either they quit working or need to be filled after 2 glasses or some other issue but my new GE is perfect. Perfect nuggets perfect water storage perfect look it's simply perfect and I love it.

Great product. Perfect nugget ice - quick, easy to use and set up. Impressive design and a really impressive machine. Well designed and substantial yet not too heavy. Directions are clear. Easy to use. Would recommend to anyone who likes iced drinks!

Love this machine! Makes the Great Sonic ice at home. Extra container on the side for extra water. Fills the container of ice in several hours and then we just dump in the freezer. Has an app so you can set up a schedule if you want, or turn it on when you are heading home.

We purchased one at work and I get ice everyday. I absolutely love pebble ice. I live where we have Sonic restaurants on every corner. There isn't any other place comparable when it comes to ice. This brings Sonic ice right inside my kitchen. This is a great purchase for pebble ice fans!!

I bought this for the wife for Christmas because she craved it when she was pregnant with our children. Sixteen year down the road, they now make them for the counter top! There has not been a day where we have not used the icemaker. Yes, it does hum, but that is to be expected from a refrigeration device, but not annoyingly. The descaling process is not difficult, but it is tedious. Despite that, I am still giving this 5 stars.

We had originally purchased it for our Beach House but liked it so much that we kept it in our primary residence. Easy to use and produces Ice around the clock. You need to make sure that you have water in the unit. It will tell you when to add water, but I like to keep it full. Great for a bar area too.

I Love ❤️ my Ice Maker! My ONLY complaint would be that the ice melts after time. It doesn't stay cold enough to keep the container consistently full. Other then that. It's all good. It sure saves me on buying bags of ice from Sonic every week. Lol.

This ice machine does exactly what it says it will. It makes awesome nugget ice to chew on. I can not stress how much I love this machine but it does come with a couple of issues that I thought I would point out. Issue # 1) The app for this machine is misleading and doesn't work well. You need the SmartHQ app from Haier US Appliance, not from GE in order to connect this to the app. The GE Profile Opal app is for the 1.0 machine with the single circular button on the top. Issue #2) The scheduling app doesn't work well at all. If you do not have the app opened on your phone, the scheduler will not work. You can turn the ice machine on and off through the app just fine when you launch it, but the scheduler will not turn on the icemaker unless it is opened on your phone. Issue #3) The side water tank doesn't work very well unless you keep moving it up and down to get enough air in it so that it can push down the water. I take the tank out until not a lot of bubbles are rising to the top anymore and then it works ok but it is annoying to see that "Add Water" alert on the machine while the tank is full. Other than that, everything else is great! Buy it, clean it when it tells you to and enjoy!

I love my Opal ice maker I did have the one with the side tank. It is by far the best ice you will use in your Cocktails! Very important reminder to clean the machine regularly… it will start squeaking if you let the calcium build up! I did use super filtered water and. Lean it out monthly!

This is my third GE ice maker. And now I'm kicking myself for giving them another chance. Every single one of these stops working within two years. This most recent $600 opal 2.0 lasted me exactly 1 year and 2 weeks before I came home to it making a horrible grinding noise and no ice in the bin. Two weeks out of warranty. Of course. Never again. What a waste of money.
